So we are officially in the last days now - in fact the End has come, we are just lagged by six weeks. My first reaction was to frantically start downloading all the scripts from before episode 54 when I really started watching seriously, out of fear that the KBC site would take down all their YH content tomorrow or the next day. However, on investigation, I find that all of their pages, VODs, etc. for shows from last year like "Who's My Love" are still in place, so I guess there's no real rush.
In fact, I suppose we could all decide to start over again by collectively watching the VODs for episode 1 and so on, and discussing them afresh, but that might be a bit too insane, or would it? :-)
(In case anyone but me is interested in this sort of thing, though, it seems that the scripts for episodes 133 to 169 are not on line and never were on line. When you try to look at them, you just get a notice that they aren't there. I don't know why this is.)
But what are we going to do after episode 169 airs? Do we have any suggestions about what KBC should replace it with? What other long-running dramas are out there? For that matter what are the YH stars doing now?
Apparently Bodyguard is supposed to be pretty good. The first episode apparently aired on KBC28 tonight, Friday Oct. 3 that is, but I hadn't been paying attention, I guess, and missed it. (However it looks as if the program schedule on the website hasn't been updated since June.) Episode 2 is tonight (Saturday).

Can anyone tell me of a website where I can get a synopsis of the whole series up to now? Or a site which would have an episode-by-episode account? I just started watching this series on Channel 35 here in Philly about a month ago, and I am totally hooked! We are up to about #134 right now, I think. I am also interested in finding out about the actors on this series. I would appreciate any help at all. Either answer through this site or e-mail me at nonabel@maktoob.com. Thank you so much!

Welcome, Toni...my sympathies to you for discovering the wonderful YH so late into the series...but congratulations for finding it at all before it's too late! All good suggestions from Betz. I would also like to suggest going to www.kbfd.com, going to the message board and looking at the huge thread for YH. Meat Jun, a frequent poster there (who created the thread) who has also posted here a couple of times, recently, has provided a detailed recap of each ep. going back very early, almost to the first ep. She also gives great background on the cast and other work they've done; in addition, many of the posters to that board are very knowledgeable about Korean dramas and contirbute useful information too on that subject. Meat Jun also has a lot of excellent quality photos posted here and there throughout the thread, too, giving you still images from scenes along the way. All messages going back to the beginning are still available, too. I think you will find most of what you're looking for there. Check it out and I hope you enjoy it...and hope you will join us again too whenever you can. Jade

It's strange that this thread is titled, "Preparing for the End." Somehow it augers the demise someone in the series. I wonder who it could be.

I didn't get the sense that Humble Student was trying to imply that he knows or thinks that one or more character/s will die. I think he was just talking about the end of the series, which we know is coming in a little over a month. I have wondered, though, if one of the grandparents will die. Funny, I used to adore Woon-kyu, but now I'd be happy to see him buy the farm. If he was out of the way, maybe Sang-min would mellow out and drop his obsession w/ Ji-min and Ja-young and her loved ones could live in peace. I can dream can't I? It would be too sad if the beloved Grandma Wey or Grandma Sohn now that she's reformed were to meet their maker. I sure hope that won't happen. I was also thinking it would be kind of nice if Min-joo would have a house fall on her or something. Sang-min could take full custody of Yuna and maybe it would be enough for him to see the light and reform. Maybe he would be offered the presidency of Sierra Park Resorts and be happy w/ Yuna and his new life and leave Ji-min alone. Wouldn't that be a happy ending? Jade

Avalon: no, it really IS the end. I mean, THE END. Of the world. It's a really dramatic finale. YJ has some advance warning because of the international connections of World Capital. International tensions get bad in the last week and then in ep. 169 nuclear war breaks out. The various loved ones meet the End in each others' arms. SM is trying to get back to Min-Joo and Yu-Na before the end, and he ALMOST gets there, but not quite. MJ says something like "How terrible to think of the time we have wasted in our little fights." They say this is a real departure for KBC.

oops - that was supposed to be a private message. Now Jade Eyes will probably complain about not leaving spoiler space. Oh well....

Hi folks - I'm in the S.J. area too. Can you send me details of the party? I do love this show so much. Am not familiar with this format, where do I give my e-mail address? I guess I'll put it here: annettec@snip.net. Thanks.
