I found this show by accident a few weeks ago. I saw a download with a title in Hangul, and thought, "Hmm, episode 1. Why not see what it is?". However the story pans out, I was struck by the look and style of the show. Rather sleek and slick. I dunno, I'm just in the mood for a show that looks like this. And Chae Rim AND Lee Dukhwa; I will give it a shot based on that alone. One thing I really thought was funny in ep 1 was in the Judo match. Chae Rim shakes her fist in frustration at Yu Gwanpil the exact same way that General of Later Bekjae used to shake his fist in frustration at Yu Gumpil, General of Kogyuro, in 'Emperor Wang Gun'.

I enjoyed episode #1. I'll be watching this. The casting is very good, the performances are very good and, of course, Lee Dukhwa is very good.

Exactly what happened to me except it was only this week I found it before leaving home and knew I had to tape it! The tempo and look are different from anything I've seen since I found KBS back in January. The same could be said for the comedic '3 Dads and a Baby.' "Rivals" president's son resembles Single Daddy's Pungho. Spent a little time trawling on the internet for his name. Found two Lees, but no Dukhwa. Who is Lee Dukhwa? Thanks!

;D "Who is Lee Dukhwa? Thanks! " ;D He is the president in this show. It is always a pleasure to watch a master craftsman at work. He is a very excellent actor and I think he could play any role and make it believable.

"Who is Lee Dukhwa?the President ... a/k/a General Xue Regui in DJY... he really cleans up well. Don't think we'll see him with a feather duster in the Presiden't Office though. You're right soapygrams, he is a true craftsman

I think I got this right: the actor's name is Lee Dukhwa (sounds like he has some serious acting chops). It was just that a 'Dukhwa Lee' isn't shown in the only online spot listing all the actors, but two other Lees are listed in the cast. Oh, well, a lot of KBS info is over my head. ;D

This site, being in Korean, may not be readable to most of us, but note how extensive his film/videography is (towards the bottom, with dates). As I said in the "Other Shows" section, Lee Duk-hwa RULES!

url=http://epg.epg.co.kr/star/profile/index.asp?actor_id=1010] As I said in the "Other Shows" section, Lee Duk-hwa RULES! Well, I finally got to see the well-known Lee Duk-hwa this week. Thanks for the link! Also, the president's daughter looks like "Landscape's" Yunji (Yi Jewon, I think). When I first saw her my immediate reaction was, "'Yunji." But in her next scene my reaction was, "can't be." It's that hair that keeps throwing me off. ;D
