He's mine too, even though he's a pirate.
I like the fact that he and Goong Bok were saving themselves for Jung Hwa (Young Miss). Also, I feel he sees Goong Bok as a worthy friend.

Does anyone know: Is Lee Won Jong the same actor who plays Yun Hwe in Great Emperor Sejong? I'm just going by tinkerbell's picture in reply #11. Thanks!

I think he would have turned out differently if he didn't owe Master Yi for saving his life when he was a baby.

There's a moral fiber that comes through in him, e.g., saving himself for Jung Hwa and developing a meaningful friendship with Goong Bok knowing he can trust him. Taking the time and patience to train Jung Hwa to become a merchant even though he likes her, he’s also trusting if he does right by her she will see some good in him and grow to love him. Although he follows the business practices taught by Master Yi, he also allows himself to step out of character to trust the people that he loves and that’s a GOOD moral value worth admiring in him. There are selected few that understand unconditional love and trust. Unfortunately, I’m not a member of that group and that maybe why I admire the ones that are. Nevertheless, thanks for allowing me to express what I like and see in the character he plays.

You expressed it very well downtown525. That's what's so sad about his character. Quite often when he is given an order, you can see the conflict on his face.
