I've read a few vituperous comments back and forth about spoiler postings and have a simple recommendation for those who want to post something but aren't sure what the episode # is/was. If you'll create a new topic and give it a subject that will help the reader know you're not a Chicago area viewer, and what date you're referring to, that will help all readers.
For example -- A New York viewer who wants to comment on a possible spoiler for something they might see today could post a subject as follows:
NY 10/02 Concerning Ja-Young
or Philly viewers
PA 10/02...
The key would be to not post something too specific, like, "Concerning Ja-Young's wedding vows" (assuming that that would be a potential big development), but simply mentioning the character would be enough to pique the curiousity of someone who likes the JY character and might be interested in a spoiler.
The text body might emphasize the potential spoiler nature.
What do you think?

Perfect! I thing those are great ground rules which should make everyone happy. Easy enough to follow too. Hopefully this will keep the peace between us all.

Maybe we should also post something showing how far ahead each participating state is. I always forget if it's the NY people or the HI people who are behind. Or is it the Philly people?

Sorry, nice try, petirrojo, but I think the system you suggest is fraught w/ potential for failure.
Look, there are only two viewing areas that I know of that are ahead of Chicago in the broadcast schedule -- LA and NYC. LA is at least 2 weeks ahead of us, and NYC is one day ahead of us.
Hawaii and the Philly area are both behind Chicago by at least one week. Those fans are more than welcome to post here, but they should use this board at their own risk. For instance, I hear there's a new discussion board for LA viewers. I'm sure there's very engaging and insightful conversation going on there, but it's one place I won't be going...for reasons I'm sure are obvious to all here.
IOW, use common sense. If you're in the Philly or Hawaii viewing area and hate spoilers, this probably is not the best forum for you. But if you're ok w/ spoilers, jump right in -- the more, the merrier.
If you're in the NYC area and want to post about an ep. that aired where you are the same day, either hold off a day, or post w/ a spoiler warning, being careful not to put anything in your subject header that will give away something major.
If you're in the LA viewing area, put spoiler warnings on any post discussing developments in the last 2 weeks. If it's an ep. that was a while back but you're not sure if it's one that's aired in Chicago already, look at the board here to see if you can figure out which ep. we're up to, going by what we're discussing. It really shouldn't be that hard.
For instance, last night, we had the ep. that showed Young-joon's friends delivering the wedding chest to Ja-young, and there's a thread about that today.
Petirrojo's suggestion about putting in the header the area from which you are posting (if you're in an area ahead of Chicago, that is) also is not a bad one. If nothing else, at least it will tip group members off that this is a post they might need to be careful about reading.
I think common-sense guidelines such as these are all that should be needed -- if people are willing to respect the right's of others who don't want to have advance knowledge of what's to happen. If there are those who can't respect that, and think they have a right to post as they please and if anyone has a problem w/ it, tough luck, then no guidelines will make any difference.
