If so, then charge me as guilty! I'm so sick of WK's attitude and wish SM would grow a spine and tell him to back off -- and while we're on the topic, maybe SM should find a hotel room rather than bunk with the old fart. Every second he's on screen now he makes me annoyed with his pig-headedness -- even his shrill and 'metiche' (a good Spanish word) wife has realized that a divorce is a bad thing and not just financially. I'm now more convinced than ever that he never really saw JY as a person, but rather as a pleasant convenience/built in servant/companion for him and his son, back in the days when she was dating SM. She was cook, housekeeper, "key man" for him when drinking, and future provider of grandchildren, but never a person. I think we have evidence of this in the way he kept buying her the hair scrunchies -- as if to say, never change, never grow/grow up as a person. Ick.

I wouldn't hold it against you if you did knock him out. I'd like to do it myself. In the scene a few days ago when he dropped by JY's place of work and tried to bully her, I found it interesting to note that JY told SM on the phone that she didn't want to get to point of losing it bad enough to smack WK one. We've seen her smack SM, so it's pretty obvious it's the strict Korean taboo against hitting an elder that's holding her back. Not that WK isn't asking for it. I wouldn't want to hit an older person either...but WK has pushed it far enough that I'd say the gloves can come off and he loses the protection of elder status. I don't agree, though, that he never saw JY as a person. I would just say his priorities have shifted considerably since the day he was buying all those scrunchies. Also, we've seen how messed up he can be at times in his thinking, such as his attitude about adoption and persisting in bringing over live animal food gifts when MJ was pregnant, even after he was asked politely to stop. I think this is simply 1 more example of how blind-sighted he can be at times, and on some issues. I do think though that SM could get his own place, even a hotel room. Don't tell me he can't afford it. It can't be so taboo for an adult male to have his own place...Ki-hoon has one, and YJ had one too for a short time, which had been his friend's before the friend married. I can't see why he would even want to be there right now. Isn't his life painful enough w/o having to listen to the ignorant commentary of his father and stepmother, and to put up w/ their constant interference? I think he could use some of that antler jam. His brain doesn't seem to be working too well. Jade
