I am slightly confused and I might be acting like a noob, but I have a question relating to Bonjour. It is a company that makes food and things like that, am I wrong? Danpung's department is all about tasting, new foods, bla bla bla. Then we move to Seonjae's department...yeah, okay, whenever there's work talk he talks about construction sites, land stuff, bla bla bla. At first I thought they were going to build a mart, but then I just totally got lost. What is Seonjae talking about when he talks the language of work and business? This is a minor question, but it bugs me and i just had to ask it.

Hi greeneyes!
I think BJ is a multinational company like PepsiCo with all sorts of food-related iterests. They have a planning dept (Seonjae) a lab (Ujin) marketing, acquisitions, development, testing, various teams (one of which Danpung heads) Storage and Shipping (the freezer) all sorts of business divisions. The list goes on.
I don't think we're meant to examine this made-up conglomerate too closely. If we did, we'd see all the holes. I think the writers just want to give us the FLAVOR of a huge organization and then concentrate on the human interest.

I'm just guessing here, but I think the real-life model for Bonjour is CJ, a big food company that has several divisions unrelated to food, such as television production.

The departments I've noticed have all been food related, like development of new foods, storage of foods, marketing of foods. Except Seonjae's planning - I suppose he could be planning other ventures than food-related ones. Like some creepy Ponzi scheme, or selling land he doesn't own or something else fraudulent. Forget the people, I want their money, heh, heh. How far would he go, I wonder?

Didn't Mansu or somebody say something about, "our USA location" or "Our European location" earlier in the series, Ginnycat? I'm not sure but I think I remember altho it could have been a gazillion episodes ago, so who knows?
I'm assuming CJ is a Korean company, Soju. If it is, the fact that it has a television division is very interesting. I see the dramas without commercial breaks. Do you? Do they in Korea?

On occasion, I've watched the live feed of KBS via their Web site. Since they're on the other side of the planet, their Prime-time is in the very early morning here in the USA. In the Winter, it's even worse, since Korea does not observe Daylight Saving Time, so shows are (to us) even earlier then.
Anyway, the shows there are presented with no breaks, but with a block of ads and promos between shows (at least on KBS).
We get commercials here in Chi-town, but WOCH is usually pretty good about starting the show back up where it left off.
