Have you noticed how much Chan sleeps, despite the fact that the lights are on, and everyone is talking in full voice??

That's right about Chan. What a good little sleeper. I always wonder why everyone else sleeps with the lights on too. I'd have to pull the blanket over my head to sleep.

It probably has to do with cameras or something but it is strange. I don't recall any bedroom lamps either, just glaring overhead lighting.
But I do love the clean, uncluttered look of the Korean-style rooms - smooth floor, smooth closet doors, maybe a TV or a desk, nothing else.
I wish I had the courage to throw everything out and start from scratch.

I also noticed that in these dramas, they never have built-in closets, just closets they have to buy. Does anyone know if this is the real design of most homes in Korea?

All the dramas I've seen have the same type of closets door60, so I guess it's typical in Korea.

I also noticed that they almost nver watch tv. I think the only person that watches tv is chicken walk with her dramas. And the only time I have seen the Hwang's watch tv was not long ago when Miae was supposed to appear in a drama. So different from me. One of the first thing I do when I get home is to turn the tv on...

One of the first thing I do when I get home is to turn the tv on... Me too. I'd hate to count the hours in a day that I watch. But usually I'm doing something else too. That's not so bad, is it? Altho lately I've actually turned it off during the day, when I'm still home. Partly it's company, partly I don't want to miss anything, and sometimes it's worth watching, or listening to, anyway. I like the reruns of old comedies and hour-long shows like Maverick and Star Trek. We have 2 channels now that run them. Saturday morning Xena and a few others are dubbed in Spanish.

Also, have you noticed that for dessert they always eat fruit (with a fork of course), but never cake or cookies. No wonder why everyone is so thin!

PEELED fruit all cut up nice and neat. It's almost like a ritual. Everybody sits around the living room, Mama brings out the tray, and they dive in.
I like their hang out clothes, too, the ones they put on at home after work. Very fashionable stuff; the knee-hi tights and stretchy tops with layers and bows. But not the older folks. Dongji, Mrs. Na, MIL. They're always dressed for a party.

I do like what they wear after work especially Baekho. I think it gives him a more relaxed look that suits his nature better.

The only time you see them eat cake is for a birthday or some other special occasion AND there's fruit on top!!! ;D
