Oh, and my son would call Danpung's legs "loaf of bread" legs. No matter where you look - thigh, knee, ankle - the space in between is wide enough to fit a loaf of bread. (He was six when he came up with that.)

I don't know puppy, only because people in Korean dramas rarely do. Seems most of them want to hang on at all costs. Like that woman who keeps coming over to Jiyeong's house and barging in on family dinners. She's like a barnacle, and you can just bet that she'll be married to JY's father by the end of the series, if only because she's worn him out and made him so logy with pork belly and soju so he can't run away. LOL

Is pork belly really that, Lucy? Sort of like chitterlings (chit'lins) here? Or tripe? Eww...
But I shouldn't talk like that. I ate some pretty strange things at my grandma's house in Morocco. (And liked them!)

What Lucy said in reply 42… PLUS: He yanks DP by the arm away from Baekho when she went to check and see if he was hurt. Red flag to the max. The guy is definitely passive aggressive. I thought he looked better at first without his glasses, but now it just makes him look even more sinister. Puppy, I've been telling DP to tell Doc to "Take a hike!" for weeks now, but she pretends not to hear me. Where's that runaway truck driver when we need him??

You guys are so funny. I guess it really is time for him to make an appearance. Here's my scenario: Jiyeong and Seonjae meet on the street by chance. Seonjae is with Sua. Sua says something horrible to JY, and JY goes wandering out into the street, not seeing the Runaway Truck Driver, who of course accelerates and honks his horn. Seonjae runs into the street and is mildly injured pushing JY out of the way, but Sua is furious with him for saving JY, because he shouldn't care at all about JY. If he had let her be creamed by the truck, that would have been better. SJ realizes that he still loves JY, and that the bed he has to lie in is a bed of nails (thanks, Pippi!), but it's too late. She is engaged to the puppy Danji's owner, who it turns out is only "unemployed" because he is independently wealthy and is trying to get a fabulous business off the ground. Sua and the Runaway Truck Driver go off to a tented restaurant and get drunk, and he has to carry her home on his back.

Why is Danpung allowing "jerkster" to meddle into her affairs? Did he took her advice when he was persuing Sua, no so why not just stay out...he realises if Danpung hook up with Baeko all he let go will be hers, but he should be happy for his sister. Why is JY such an ass wipe, her characterization of JY is getting on my last pip, no woman can be so dull and stupid, I know of a few Korean gals who epitimises JY but still this is the 21 century, woman rights etc, etc make these character more real and down to earth, more modern, maybe back then women had no backbone, now they do have and more.

Thank you Grayson. I think it's time for JY and Dongji to say enough is enough because in real life no matter how "backboneless" you're there is always a limit. These two characters are way two weak for me. You don't have to be disrespectful but you gotta stand up for urself.

Danpung is starting to look and act like her world is caving in on her.
She seemed so happy, sailing along with her job, co-workers, and "friendship" with Doctor Strangelove.
Now she has: 1. A brother who dumped a nice girl and married the Ultra-Brat to rise above her at work.
2. The Doctor f(r)iend who, along with his mother and her own parents, is putting the pressure on bigtime to "own" her. and 3. Baekho now confessing his love for her, when she obviously doesn't seem ready for his or anyone's at this point in her life.
As usually the most upbeat character on this show, I'd like to see an episode or two that brings out her dark side. I doubt she would risk any trouble at work, but I'd like to see her give Sua and the Doc a piece of her mind.
And she certainly doesn't seem to have been secretly pining for Baekho. She's looking more scared than flattered after his confession. She needs to tell him and everyone else to give her some space.
That's what I'd *like* to see.
But her tendency to be too nice makes me wonder if she'll ignore Baekho as just being drunk and not serious about his confession, and hoping things go back to "normal" in the morning.

(And liked them!) I think pork belly is fresh bacon before it's been sliced - (it's from the outside of the pig). I've seen it at Super H Mart. It looks like what they're cooking on their tabletop stoves on the dramas.

Thanks Ginnycat!
And zorro, I'm glad I'm not the only one who tries to reason with some of the characters. I've been begging Dongji to loosen up, but now I'm through with her. I'll try to work on Danpung for a while. Maybe she'll listen, tune out her mom, dump the doc, and pay attention to Baekho. (a thousand more episodes from now!)

I am so glad that Danpung is giving the Brat a hard time, not really just letting her know what her duties are. Brat shows NO respect... and i hope tomorrow danpung unleashes a can of woop @##!! I wish mr na knew about this stuff, this way he would put a stop to it right away....what is wrong with mrs na!! dingbat!! if you keep treating brat like a queen you can't expect her to learn or do anything.. then she complains when she is alone!! give me a break!!!! and now some of brat's snobbishness has rubbed of on seonjerk.. ! I can't stand his hair with wings. how can he hear?? does he have any ears?? poor baehko? everyone should leave him alone!! and grandma! she is such a witch. first she insults you, then when you let her know she is being mean, she gets all upset and starts to act like the victim!! what a @#$%%%.. give me a break... can't wait til danpung explodes and mrs na and brat get it!! i wonder if seonjerk would do anything about it, if he found out how his wife was treating his mom.. like a maid!! so disgusting.. no respect.. there is no reason for that , even if you are rich there is no excuses.. if only mr bong knew this behavior of his spawn!!

I dunno. After seeing about three and a half episodes, I can pretty much guess Danpung and Baekho will end up together. Mexican telenovelas are the same way If this was a Japanese drama, I could see the possibility of there being a random and offbeat end to their relationship, but Korean romance dramas follow seemingly strict guidelines of having a happy ending. HOWEVER, I'd like to read of any suggestions of k-dramas that DON'T end with the protagonists getting together (or it being a happy ending); sort of a combination of Wuthering Heights and Great Expectations.

Can't get over Pure in Heart. Ugyeong and Gukwa should have been, I tell you.
[edited to remove information about the conclusion of the drama. Lucy]
