LOL puppy, I was kind of being sarcastic --I was getting a little worried by the relentless commentary on peoples' looks in various threads (not only on this board), especially women's bodies, which we get enough of in the real world--what parts are "too big," what parts are "too small," what is or isn't shapely enough, what famous person didn't "lose the baby weight" fast enough.... A strength of this Chicago board is that we don't tend to go off on who's hot and who isn't. We all do it sometimes, but we don't tend to have whole threads about it. A little bit is good and spicy, but a whole diet of spice gets to be too much. Y'know? But this is not meant to chastise anyone, just to put my two cents in. And I still don't disavow my own comment about Seonjae. I actually have wondered what is going on with that actor--I hope he's not ill or anything. And I will stand by my comment in another thread that Baekho looked cute in his undershirt. But that's all I'll say on the subject.

OK, Lucy. Point taken.
This board IS special and I feel that way too when I post and the others answer.

Ooo, let's do it now, Lucy! Seonjae is getting thinner and more mean-looking by the minute. His cheekbones stick out and his eyes sink in. Sometimes it looks like he has a vampire thing going on. I wonder if it's acting or maybe the actor is ill or under stress. It sure works for his character. Puppy, the actor was in some accident. Said he is still recovering. The timing is good as it looks like he is unhappy with the path he has chosen!

Wow. Thanks, Sheila. That is so weird, both Lucy and I thinking he looked a little out of it. Shows how tied into these dramas we addicts are.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad he's recovering, but the shock to his body sure shows on his face. Bad pain does sometimes give people that drawn look. What kind of an accident was it?

I'm sorry to hear he was in an accident. I thought it was just make-up to show the result of his choice and the sub-sequent stress. Plus he has become more evil looking like sheila said.

There was a flashback once showing Seonjae and Jiyeong when they were in love. How different he looked, round-faced and somehow sweet.
How long does it take to film these stories? Do they do one episode a day? If so, then it could take up to half a year and an actor might look different (hair, weight) depending on what has been happening to him/her.
I guess the dramas becomes a part of their lives as much as it does ours.

What kind of an accident was it? Sorry, I just saw the post. The actor simply said 'accident' but didn't elaborate. However, after the accident he made 3 appeals to fans to remember that he and the actress who plays the role of Su-ah are simply acting a role and not to hate them in real life. It made me wonder if the accident was caused by a fan who could not distinguish real and reel life. I could not get more info though I searched (I admit it!). It seems the press do have more respect for celebrities privacy in Korea than they do here. Which is good!

How does BonJour foods operate? Evil Seonjae disapproves on his own, because he hates Baekho and the researcher because they're connected to Jiyeong? Or did he convince a committee about it? What a jerk-I hope somebody gets Mansu involved!

What a jerk-I hope somebody gets Mansu involved! hopefully the tasting of dumplings turn some heads, especially mansu.. i loved seonjerks face when he saw the tasting. i am sure he is mad because they went over what he said!! i hope mansu reconsiders and seojerk is left looking like the jerk that he is.. now he has this snootiness about him!! he is turning like sua.. he judges and does things to people because of his personal feelings and jelousies...!! Not professional!! he might have been honorable before but now he is just disgraceful!! his dad would be so disappointed if he knew how his son was acting!!

Seonjae does seem to act independently, Pippi. Mansu seems to trust him. But he trusts Baekho, too. I see major conflict ahead!

Right PippiBella ! I've noticed some of Sua's personality traits rubbing off on Seonjae. A couple of times he sneered at Baekho and had that rotten smirk on his face just like she does.

i remember in one later episode with seonjae being planning manager, he has the same metal letters behind his desk on a shelf, but misspelled. it said BONJUOR. and i went XDDD for the whole two minutes you could see it. I'm still waiting to see that… has it already happened and I missed it??

Me too, but now I know it hasn't happened in Chicago yet. Thanks for the heads up.
