I've been noticing on this drama lately that the writers are on autopilot when it comes to getting family members into a scene. To wit, the following dialogue snippet:
[two characters come in through the front door] Family Member: Oh, did you come together? Recent Arrival: We met outside.
How many times have we seen this lately? It would make a good drinking game. As would this scene-let:
[character comes reeling in, stinking drunk and weaving] Mother (or father or wife): Oh, did you have a drink? (gee, do you think? maybe just one.)
or, alternatively: "Oh-mo-mo, why did you drink so much?"

People never seem to get a scolding for getting drunk. I guess they don't barf or pee in their beds while they are passed out. Don't normal drunks make a mess? I wouldn't want to see them doing it, but it surprises me that their families are so kind to them. At least they call a driver and don't drive drunk.

Lucy, I think I shall make that a game. Also for the "Are you home?" question when the person is right there lol.
Now that you mention it ginny, they sure do usually spill from both ends but these guys don't even get nauseated.

The upside is that the person being asked doesn't say 'Yes' Another one: Are you going out? (as someone is obviously headed for the door)

We played a similar game in college. It was many years ago as you will see. The name of the drinking game was called Hi Bob. We would watch the Bob Newhart show, and when anyone said "Hi Bob" you had to drink a shot. As you know, guys invent drinking games to get girls drunk!!! Other favorites of mine, were Buzz and Cardinal Puff.

I hate it when someone asks Did you do that (bad thing). The person looks down and says nothing. Sometimes they've done it and sometimes they haven't, but to me they look guilty, and I think the questioner thinks they're guilty too. Why don't they talk?

: Oh Ginny, I've always wondered that myself - so very many misunderstandings could have been avoided if only the persons would SPEAK to each other - evidently, that is either part of the writer's way of advancing the drama or it's cultural? I don't know which - but whichever it is - IT'S TOTALLY ANNOYING! and frustrating! ah well ....

And the answer to, "Did you come together?" always is, "No, we met outside."
About the drinking: heavy sloshing must be fairly commomplace in Korea since that's the only place I know of where folks make a living driving woozy folks home. Baekho made $$ doing it in the beginning.

haha I love that one " Did you come together?" "No we met outside". First it's Baekho and uncle, then Sonjae and Dangpun, then Sonjerk and Mr Na and so on and that's in every episode... eeeverybody gets to do it and if you lucky you get to do it twice in the same episode.lol

Just when I thought they'd given up on the "Are you home?" one, there it was in tonight's episode. It's been a long time but it still made me chuckle; I didn't even have a drink handy lol.

This isn't a coincidence but maybe just directorial laziness: did you ever notice that whenever we start a Dalhyeon (sp)/Sonya scene, they are almost always at work, stuffing party favors into a box?

You're right puppy. They must spend most of their lives stuffing party favors. Also, Dalhyeon and his boss arrive first, talk about Sonya and then she arrives last. Deja Vu.
