Ahh, that's too bad that you moved right before the big finale. Anyway let me tell you that it was a rollercoaster ending that left you wondering till the very last minutes. At first everything points to Tae-woong dying, they pass him in all these dream sequences about where he used to live and work and all that, Yon-ho talks about a memorial (so you assume the worse and think it's Tae-woong's) and in the end you find out that he did not die. In fact, he got promoted to Director and is still helping people out. (They show him helping a motorist who has no idea what's wrong with his car.) Yon-ho's father, unfortunately, does die. Tae-woong's mom forgives him and Jun-rang (Yon-ho's mom I might have misspelled the name). Tae-man and Soo-ho get together, she's looking very pretty by the way. She did end up going to Japan to study animation and I guess they've been waiting for her to get back to Korea. Ae-ran (Yon-ho's aunt) proposed to that guy (forgot his name) I think his name is Seung-min (Yon-ho's ex). They show them rushing to the hospital to have their baby. Yon-ho had a little boy. And everything is just perfect with their dream house "On the Green Prarie". That's about all I can remember.

Just to clarify, Yon-ho's grandfather died, not her father.
Also, are we absolutely sure that Tae-woong didn't die? I feel slow, but it sure seemed to me that there was a lot of question as to whether those scenes of the future were flash-forwards or just the fantasies of Tae-woong while he was under anaesthetic, or perhaps his view of heaven after he died. The soft-focus, in particular, led me to believe that it wasn't taking place in reality. And we never saw him come out of the operation or anything that would have happened during or immediately after the surgery.
I haven't been able to reach this website all week, so I haven't been able to ask these questions, and all week I've been assuming that Tae-woong was dead.

I admit that the ending was a little hard to follow. However, what leads me to believe that Tae-woong is alive is the following clip: The one where you see a motorist and Tae-woong exchange small talk about a fuse (? or something like that) blowing out in his car and Tae-woong changing it for him. Also, that coworker of his calling him "Director", I know Tae-woong was a great employee, but come one promoting a dead guy? Me thinks this was too much of a light-hearted drama to have such a dreary end.

Thanks, gc. I dunno, though--when I think about the flash-forwards or whatever, including the one where he's called "Director," I still think that they could be interpreted as part of a dream/fantasy that Tae-woong was having, and that he could still be on the operating table when we're seeing all this (or even dead). I guess I'm feeling like they didn't do a very good job with the ending of the series.
Also, it didn't seem to me like a light-hearted drama; more like a drama with light moments. It's conceivable to me--especially considering how much all the characters kept talking about God and living diligently toward the end of the series--that Tae-woong may have served his purpose in life and went to his reward knowing that his family were all back together again and on the right track.
