If you really want to know I'll tell you since it's not a major spoiler.

We will never see Namseng or his brother again. The writers just wrote them out of the story with no explanations. In real life Namseng lived for quite a few years afterwards, but he's probably dead by now. We just saw episode #104 and he hasn't been seen or mentioned. It would've been nice to see him redeem himself. He was trying after he realized his mistakes and was turning out to be a really decent guy. Sorry, no closure from the writers.

Thanks, Tink. I wonder why.
The writers had no compunctions about dragging on some plot lines I thought miinor and Gaesamun and his sons, especially Namseng, did not seem minor at all. Namseng's position in the story was somewhat mystifying however. (Friend to DJY or foe of DJY? Traitor to Gorguryeo or savior of same?)
He and the king did have a sort of interesting back and forth going on during the Domyongchung (sp) episodes. Maybe the actor had other commitments and couldn't continue in the role.

Yes, thanks a bunch Tinkerbell. Aww, that's a shame.
I agree puppy, the episodes spent prolonging some of the battle scenes could've been used to tie up loose ends.

Kind of strange the way he dissappeared.

Glad this board is still running. We had 2 days of power outages and I missed last Sat and Sun. of DJY. Thank heaven for the websites (I was able to catch part of both eps) and for the spoiler threads, and for this thread too. I can still ask my questions and vent.
So Sudol and Auhong are married. Did it just happen? Was there any sort of courtship shown? I know he liked her but she seemed uninterested.
Do Sukyeong and DJY have kids now? I know they do eventually but nine years have passed, I think and we see only Geom.
Rengui comes out of retirement to ask Emperor Wu to call off Li Wen and his goons so the young men are not all depleted. But I'm not sure why he cares. Why does he?
Thanks for your replies, anyone who's still reading.

I thought 12 years had passed? No they didn't show any courtship or marriage ceremony with Heuk Sudol and Auhong.
Yes, Sukyoung and DJY have children now. You will see that soon. Both of these events would have been interesting to see but instead we got boring filler.
I can't remember all the details of why Xue Rengui cares but he is interested in his own legacy. Hope that helps puppy.

It does, Tinkerbell. Thank you.
I wish they had shown developments between Sudol and Auhong and DJY his bride. I like the battles and war strategy scenese but a little more romance would be nice too.

The Khitan's are Xue's friends and allies. Isn't that enough reason to be their advocate? Also isn't his ethnicity Khitan?
I think Auhong is the most attractive of the women. Especially back when she was running the house of pleasure (whatever the proper term is). Unfortunately, she's stuck with the comic relief as her husband. Much as I like his character.

It was so disappointing to have that huge flashforward. Oh well.

I missed the beginning of Sunday's episode. Yesterday DJY interupted Chulin with her sword to Biwu's neck. What happened there?
Speaking of Biwu, how many times have he and Mimosa said the other was going to have to die or be punished for one reason or another? I’m guessing that there setting them up for a major confrontation.
As soon as the Emperor said that she had sent a message to have Li Kaigu captured or killed. I knew that my main man, Shin Hong, would be one step ahead.

I missed the beginning of Sunday's episode. Yesterday DJY interupted Chulin with her sword to Biwu's neck. What happened there? Apart from that, she just made Biwu swear in front of Joyoung not to bring the subject up again (Joyoung not knowing what said subject is, still). Joyoung just let it be and respected that it was between the two of them.

Biwu is bursting to tell DJY about Geom being his son and not Kaigu's but Chulin keeps forbidding it. Says she'll kill Biwu if he talks. I understand their animosity but not Biwu's towards Mimosa. Did I miss something?
Last nite, we saw Mimosa's flute-playing ploy to shame the Khitan conscriptees into rebelling against the Tang. Looks like it might work but one never knows with this drama. The good guys always seem to get skunked.
