Its Kaigu for me (1)He is Blinded by Hatred (2)Many of his losses are down to Shin's less than sage advice yet he still keeps him around . (3)Sheer Number of men he has lost in his battles would probably amount to the population of a small /medium sized city .but Xue is not far behind on this one . (4)He gets a victory over Tang by dubious means than takes off after DJY leaving Khitan exposed to the Turks who also really are not much better . (5)Seems to blame everybody but himself and people of Khitan birth for his many many defeats
This is a tough one because the whole bunch are complete disasters in Military Campaigns but im giving it to Kaigu just for his many blunders ,inability to learn from his mistakes and he keeps on making them over and over .
In real life Wu would have had this whole bunch dragged back to Chang An (Actually she never lived there, she thought it was haunted by the ghosts of the former Empress and First Concubine ,both of him she had shut away ,than had their hands and feet cut off leaving them both to die in wine barrels .So she made the Tang or rather Wu Dynasty(She did away with Tang and the Li Family though it was restored after her demise ) capitol in Au Longshan)..... and Executed as she was extremly sever to Generals that lost battles (gave them more incentive to win )

I have to agree with dyc. Li Kaigu has a lot of problems. Mental is just one of them.

Anybody remember Liu Guanzhong? He was the supposedly formidable Tang general who showed up during one of the D-League episodes with an army in tow, and allowed the D-League (posing as Tang dignitaries) to "escort" him and his subordinates. They were walked through the woods a ways and then slaughtered. It was awfully funny. Liu wasn't around long enough to lose a bunch of battles, so I suppose he doesn't qualify here, but this may have been the single dumbest thing done by any general in the whole series.

Even though Yeon Namseng was not a general, I voted for him because of his consistently stupid behavior. He was so full of himself that he had no vision and no perspective.
