Gulsabiwu and Guemlan (sp) are such a tragic couple! The scene in which they jumped off the cliff and were under water cheek to cheek was romantic and inspiring in the best sense. When Guem. woke up to see Gulsabiwu looking down on her I had hopes that they might actually make it out alive together. And the kiss in the cave. . .THE BEST!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D What a Beautiful scene. Hollywood could take a page from this---NO SOUND EFFECTS, smacking, etc. Just a real, honest to G-d great Kiss! Gulsabiwu is the strong, silent type. Bogie, move over!

It's so sad that she dies and Li Wen and his two stooges are still walking around. I think if Gulsabiwu knew the real reason she told him to carry her on his back, he wouldn't have, and they both would have died. There may be others, but I can't think of a more shining example of love and hero(ine)ism. Now I just hope he makes her sacrifice worthwhile and gets back to DJY alive.

Biwu has to live long enough to kill Li Wen and his sidekicks, Mr. Smiley-tooth and the other one. DJY camp has taken enough of the kills for now. WHEN WILL WE SEE SHIN HONG GET IT! It's TOO long overdue!

Shin Hong should be Shin Hung!
Did anyone else notice the opening scene showed us yet another continuity issue?
At the end of 127 DJ suspects someone hiding in Chulin's quarters and draws his sword… all day I'm thinking about what will happen next, and then tonight in 128 they show DJ sitting quietly at her table drinking tea and thanking her for her efforts while LK hides behind the curtain with his dagger. What the??
C'mon writers… don't start something if you're not going to finish it.

The whole episode was very sad. From the betrayal by the Khitans to leaving DJY's father behind to Biwu and Geumlan. DJY's people are suffering so much!
I was sobbing at the end. Poor Geumlan looked like a pin cushion. It was so moving -- starting with them fighting to the death side by side, holding hands while jumping over the cliff, the kiss in the cave...
Biwu has to survive -- not only because DJY needs one of his brothers to live and see his eventual triumph, but because he really is the hottest character in the show. I just wish Geumlan could have survived with him.
Li Wen was such a chicken, not wanting to fight Biwu one-on-one but wanting to watch and snicker while he was killed slowly by others. I cannot wait for Li Wen and Shin Hong and Li Kaigu to finally get killed! Please, writers.... we only have 6 episodes left!

At one moment DJY is grasping his sword and giving the look of x-ray vision through that curtain or door... the next minute he's having tea? ... and Chulin has recovered her composure. What drugs are they all taking?

A very well done episode.
Geumlan died a unique but "beautiful" death.
Zorro, i think you're right about it -- Geumlan knew that her "solution" was best for Biwu.
I wish...well a few things. i would have had this romance earlier, and in fact have the two married & a baby.
they could have let Heuk Sudol live (he's fictional, so didn't have to die). Heuk Sudol & Auhong could have then adopted G & G 's baby.
Jochicago -- i think Li Wen learned his lesson with Heuk Sudol -- don't mess with ANY of the brothers. i think he was smart enough to know that if Heuk Sudol was about to kill him (and no Zhao to save his life), then it would be suicide to go against Biwu.

BD, my sentiments exactly. The underwater scene of 'biwu and Geumlan clinging to one another was truly moving (and was my favorite scene, although the kiss was pretty great, too). I held my breath in disbelief when Guemlan took all those arrows for her "Chongoon" (general). How she looked at him with such affection and apologized for not doing more for him, and then put her face on his shoulder and allowed herself to quietly pass on--- it was such a heart wrenching moment. For me, however, the saddest scene was this: when Gulsabiwu finally slowed from a run to a walk, he assured Geumlan they were almost there. He then playfully says how when they get back, he is "going to get Joyoung to marry (him) off". When he told Geumlan she would be the bride and asked her what she thought, he realized in utter horror that she was dead; I have never seen Gulsabiwu cry like he did at that moment. No words can describe what a terribly sad scene this was to watch.
