". . . And Mansu said nothing again! " Yep, that "pained" expression is truly getting old - Old Stone Face needs to SHOW some emotion once in a while - LIKE NOW would be a good time to start!

I like your take, Soapygrams, on Mansu neglecting Sua. He llways remarks how sorry he is that he didn't spend enough time with her. And he's SOOO formal whenever he talks to her, not loving at all. There was a scene early on where he takes Sua to lunch at Dongji's suggestion and Sua is thrilled but he seems like he's with a client or something - VERY different from Jaebok and Jiyeong.
I hate to say this but sometimes I feel sorry for Sua. It's like she doesn't know any better, never grew up. And MIL just encourages her!

Yes Puppy, I think you are right. Sua is to be pitied in that she has never been taught properly. Not from her father who seems warm to some people but doesn't show enough INTEREST in his own daughter to have taught her common manners. MIL is so impressed with herself and her position so of course, she has raised Sua with that I AM SO SPECIAL attitude. Sua has also been surrounded by her friends who are a bunch of SNOBS themselves. They have not been any help to her growing into a normal human being. She seems to have moments of humanity every once in a while. ;D She gives gifts so people will LIKE HER, even the shirt and tie she gave to Songjerk - yes she wanted him to like it that way he would like HER. She shops because she doesn't know what else to do when she is frustrated at not getting her own way; and she shops when she's sad, happy, etc. SHE SHOPS! But MIL has always encouraged her to do just what she wants; EXCEPT if it is something MIL doesn't want - then MIL gets snitty with Sua too~ Oh-Payah - she is such a piece of work!

Oh, yes, her friends, who didn't think Seonjae came up to their standards. They were so cold to him, just ignored him, and insulted their "friend" Sua by the way. They snickered and sneered while Sua looked hurt. I wonder if she ever spoke to them again. Here I am feeling sorry for her now. That didn't teach her anything, we can tell by her treatment of Baekho.

;D ;D Right Ginny - Sua's "friends" were acting just the way SHE would have acted if one of them brought a gf or bf to meet the group and that person wasn't "good enough" in their opinion. She would have acted the same way they did to Songjerk!

Sua did see her nasty friends again, ginnycat. In at least 2 eps. I can remember, she took off to, "meet my friends." And this was AFTER they dissed Seonjae.

Mrs. na is so mean and stuck up. she put down baehko in front of donji. what is she talking about! if you are comparing baehko and seonjerk.. i think baehko would win in all areas! while i was watching likable or not, i saw soju in of of the commercials for blinds.. i had to take a double take... Soju is a movie star !

Yes, pippi, and doesn't the way Dongji replies to chickenhead just tick you off? All Dongji ever mostly says is she has something to do, lets meet another time. Its never how dare you speak of my son like that or mind your business my son wasn't dating 2 women at one time. Who is chickenhead? At least it's grandma's house, not that I'm on grandma's side or anything now lol, and grandma is an elder but chickenhead really has nothing on Dongji. Just wow Dongji, I've heard of humble people before but this is borderline ridiculous.

Pippi, lol, that's not really Soju, just his icon. Funny, but I told him on another thread just the other day that I always think the Action Blinds guy really is him, even though I know better.

Polish? Oh, Kathleen, you've lost me. What does that mean? p.s. nice to see you! Well see Lucy ... unlike many on this board who are taking, or have taken, Korean Language classes, I - alas - am unable to spell the Korean words that I hear. "Neyum Choi" ... How do you like your Action Blinds? And the guy in the red shirt gives a thumbs up and clearly ... very clearly, says neyum choi... and so that's my Polish translation for the Korean phrase. I am 100% Polish and know precious few Polish words. Cabbage is one of them.

Cabbage is a Polish word? I learn so much from this board and not all of it about Korean drama.
And speaking of the MIL/DIL thing: Mansu's mom certainly knows the drill, that the mother-in-law is the pay-ah (LOL, Soapy) and can lean on her son's wife as much and as nasty as she likes. Soo..how come she didn't teach this to Sua?
