Does anyone else think the new woman that's after Jiyeong's dad looks like Miae's "older sister"? I think you are right! how weird! ;D

Ah! shucks, she is beginging to rock my nerve...I do not like selfish, interferring women, detest them with a passion, she is loud mouth and uncooth, she did not want her husband, now he has fallen for someone else she wants him back, no to her And what right does her sister have to interfere, why do you Koreans think you have the right to telll others what and how to run their lives. I have seen that in soo many KDramas, its wrong

I sympathize with your frustration, grayson, but let's remember that these are not real "Koreans," they are characters in a drama. We have some lovely Korean people who read this board who might not like to imagine that you think they are busybodies, too, just because of dumb ol' Miae.

;D , , , and there are some meddlesome MEN also - not just women LOL - I don't think any particular group of people have a corner on the market of "meddlesome persons". I think all groups of people have their share. If you watched American soaps you'd be noticing the American version of meddlesome. ;D That's just human nature - in real life, we tend to stay away from those types of persons, if we can .. well, at least, I do

My husband hates "I Love Lucy", because everytime Ricky tells Lucy not to do something, she's sure to do it!. My husband gets so mad at her. If I catch an episode every now and then he can't even be in the same room. It's funny how people get so passionate about TV shows. Me included! But the nastier they are, the more I love to watch! For me, everytime Miae or Seonjae are on screen, there's sure to be something spicey going on, and that makes me happy!!!!!

Regarding that word "meddlesome": Maybe the elders in K-dramas do get VERY involved in what the kids are up to and sometimes their interference can be irritating. But on the other hand, I like the fact that older folk still have a respected say in what goes on. I like that they are bowed to when the young couples marry and that their values are considered rather than dismissed as old-fashioned.
I wish there was more of that here.

Nice to have you aboard, nyivie!
I was a new addict not too long ago (graduated to Jr Addict but not sure when or how) and everybody welcomed me. It's nice to welcome others. We have a nice climate, wonderful natives, and great food! (The eating posts here are the best!)
