Why is that there's no Miae thread. She's one tough chick with attitute. My kind of woman Info: Name: Lee Ja Yeong Birth: 1977 08-11 Height & Weight: 165cm & 47kg I've heard she's wicked at ballet and jazzdance.

I love the part of the drama with Miae, Jiyoung, Seonjae, Sua, and their families. It's very spicey ! I love that Miae is so unpredictable, and that she flies off the handle. PERFECT for a K-Drama.

Yeah but at the same time, I wish she would just go away when it comes to Sonya. She's definitely masochistic in a way. Whenever Dalhyeon really yells at her, she has to be all "wow i didn't know he had charisma!" [ ]

Yup, she's definitely a babe. But, for some reason, I think she often doesn’t really look her best in “Likable or Not” (she was a total knockout in the just-ended SBS show "Love and Hate"). Here's a few more shots of the lovely Ms. Lee:

I agree, she looks better in these photos than the drama. maybe its the way they style her hair.

As I've said before in this forum, I like the baddies. Sua and Miae are interesting characters. Something exciting always happens during their scenes. And they're both good-looking in opposite ways. Even the evil MIL is fun to watch. But the one baddie I can't seem to connect with is Seonjae's mom. I SOOO want her to get hers!

At first I did not like this character because she left her child to do her thing.. now i love her because she will protect her niece. jyeong is too nice and needs someone to speak ( I mean (yell for her.) She is really pretty in the photos! I wish I had her body

I'm all for Miae when she's beating on Sua and chickenhead but sometimes, she disgusts me a lot. Her nose is so weird.

I love hating Seonjae's mother! Her walk , or shuffle is so comical. And the way she goes from giggling (when speaking to Sua or the grandmother) to nasty when talking to her husband is great acting!! She was a totally different character in Wonderful Life!

I always liked Ms. Lee. She plays a pain in the neck very well. I think she is one of the prettiest girls on the show and she actually has curves (not stick thin).
I wouldn't compare her to Sua though. Sua is downright mean, conceited, selfish, controlling, conniving, totally doesn't care who she hurts and so on. Miae is selfish but not in the same league as Sua.

And, how did she get so spoiled? Sua was given lots of material things and was indulged all the time, but didn't Miae have a different kind of life? Or maybe she did but didn't want to live that way anymore, after the financial mess her husband made.

Who knows why people turn out the way they do. You can have two people living in the same household and be totally different. One can act spoiled and think the world owes them and the other can be kind, thoughtful and humble. I think it's a matter of choice and selfishness plays a part. Look at the difference in the Na household as well. Mr. Na and Danpung are a lot different than Seonjae and his mother.

Yes, so very true Tinkerbell, people do choose the way they act.

I agree. It absolves Mi-ae from all "guilt" by putting all the blame on her husband and his lack of financial success.
Tinkerbell, you're right. Mi-ae is selfish but not in the same league as Su-ah. Mi-ae's conscience will come back to bite her after she has done wrong. Su-ah occasionally shows a twinge of regret which she is quick to squash.

I love Miae because she is not afraid to tell it the way she sees it. I watch a lot of these Korean dramas, and I am always amazed how noone answers back to elders, and how they often don't "burden" their loved ones with what they are really feeling. Anyway, Miae is a time bomb, and I love her explosive personality. It is disappointing that she is not too interested in her son, though
