After watching the full ep. today which was 40 i realized that if Seonjea had stuck to his guns about Sua and Jiyeong he wouldn't have had to worry about saying he liked Sua to the grandmother. The father had already invested before the grandmother went to see him. If he had postponed one more day saying he was interested in Sua his fund would have been o.k. and he would have never become the twisted, jerk he is now.

That's true. After studying the facts, he used company's funds as he thought it would make a good investment. And Mansu would not place any conditions on the investment. Unlike dear ole Grandma!
But you noticed that Grandma made two or three references to his relationshp with Jiyeong. She was given the impression by Su-ah and Jongsun that they were only casually dating. Dongji too doesn't correct the impression. If Grandma knew the real status, I wonder what she would have done.
As his Dad said before this whole sordid business started, Danpung is his daughter and Seonjae takes after Jongsun. So true!

I am so disapointed.... Jerk is not the right word. he treats his girlfriend like crap, get mad at her when she askd why he has not called her. he chats with tramp all day long. i am sure he would be upset if everytime he called jyeong some man ancwered and told him she is sleeping. i am sure that would not be ok... i can't wait for karma to bite him on the @@@. he hurt jyeong and sold his sold to the devil and spawn (grandma and sua). and as for the devils advocate(seogates mom), i hope she gets the little spoiled , brat witch of a daughter in law like she always dreamed of. i am just disgusted with the whole situation. i wish mansu knew all the correct facts, he is the only voice of reason.. he would stop the madness...

Grandma too! heh, heh. That would be good for them, but Sua thinks it's a bargain, I think. What would she do if Songjae didn't keep his part. I think she'd go to his office and throw a fit. And ask for her money back, even tho it isn't hers.

I am going cazy. everytime seogates mom trows a fit os says " i did not do anything" the I don't care attitude, i want reach into the tv and hit her. the same for her son. at least he caould let jyeong know and break up with her now instead of dragging her along and he plays stupid and jerky all the time. what an a@@. the look on his face when he talks to jyeong is unbelievable. he is always mad at her and always smiles when he sees the snake slide into the office. i am so mad at the both of them .. i can't wait to see mia give them a piece of her mind. i don't like her but i like how she is protecting her niece!

Hi, I missed the episode after Seonjae spent the night in the hotel with Sua, and so I also missed what happened with the investment and with Jiyeong. Could someone please fill me in? I think I missed something crucial, though from Thursday's ep I can see that the little girlfriend seems to be out in the cold now.

well, when seongate was so drunk that sua brought him to a hotel. his phone rand and she picked it up and told jyeong that he could not come to the phone because he was asleep. sua slept on the couch and waited til seongate woke up. sua's dad invested in the fund so now he work problems are over. he spends lots of time with sua and none with jyeong. JERK!! he keeps telling his girl not to call that he will call when he is not busy. he is totalling avoiding her. he is doing jyeong WRONG! jyeongs family is worried about jyeong , so they call seongate mom to get together and talk. the witch informs jyeong aunt that she does not approve of jyeong and there is no wedding to talk about. suas dad knows that seongate was sua's blind date. does not have any clue that this guy was spoken for and only is involved with his sua for $$$. he has sold his soul to the devil and hopefully will get what is comming to him! hope this helps

Thanks Pippi!! I really appreciate it. It's still a little unclear to me what has happened between Seonjae and Sua, and Seonjae and Jiyeong. People here keep saying he has sold his soul, but why do you say that? are they dating now, and has he said anything to Jiyeong? thanks again!

they are not dating, but is they are always together some how . and now sua s dad thinks they dating and now invested in the fund. i am sure he'll drop jyeong for a richer life. he has not said anything to jyeong, but really avoids her and tells her his busy with work. and he has told sua's grandma that he likes sua. this gives grandma encouragement. go on veoh and see what you have missed. hope i have not confused u

Thanks again, Pippi. The way Seonjae is looking at Sua lately, and the fact that he seems prepared to let her family think they're on the verge of getting married, made me wonder just how much I'd missed. I guess those things are just part of his being a weasel.
It would be great if Sua's family were really shocked when they find out that Jiyeong was not just Seonjae's casual girlfriend but someone he dated for 3 years and was actually engaged to. That speaks very badly of his principles. Isn't it weird that his mother's denial of JY (and Sua's denial as well) as his fiancee (pretty much her denial of JY's existence) actually worked, and now JY is fading from the picture? I mean, come on! Wow. They were engaged to be married, and when it comes out, Sua and Seonjae are going to look like a couple of alley cats.

Yes, Lucy, they'd look bad, but will it come out? Jiyeong is so self-effacing; did she even tell her future SIL-but not-anymore- that she'd been given a ring? The father knew how serious they had been, but he doesn't seem to run into anyone else. Maybe he'll play golf with Mansu someday? I don't know, but the bad ones don't always get what's coming to them, imo. I'm sorry you missed the look on Sua's face when she told Jiyeong that Seonjae was sleeping. So evil and mean. She knows exactly what she's doing. About the investment, Sua begged and begged her father and grandmother to invest. Grandma met SJ and questioned him. He said he likes Sua (code for I'll propose?). Father had an assistant check out the investment, then he met with SJ. Sua was really surprised and went to call SJ immediately when Father (or G'ma?) told her. G'ma said let him call you, but she danced up the stairs, and G'ma smiled fondly at her impetuousness. gag!

this show is interesting but I couldn't live like they do..they have to show so much respect to the adults and when they get hollered at you notice that the person who is getting in trouble has to bow his or her head. It's a mannerism that is to be shown..I do remember reading on one site that KBS was fined cause they showed an episode of where the daughter in law slapped the mother in law..that is not allowed..
Iknow if some of this stuff was in the US shows there would've been some serious throw downs on the show..lol.. I don wonder if that is Mansu's house or his mother's house?

This is general Asian culture but of course, it is exaggerated on TV. Just like the movies from US gives the impression that American kids have no respect for their parents or anyone in authority. They throw temper tantrums at home, always never finish their meal but walk off in a huff, slamming the front door as they leave the house! Go to school only to buy/sell drugs or pick up sexual partners among their peers and teachers! I was terrified when I first heard that my father would be posted to the US and the family would be moving there. I thought I cannot live with such animals! Art imitates life but also grossly exaggerates!

Poor jyeong. seongate crushed her heart and made her look like a fool in front of sua (viper). such an idiot. he should have broken her heart earlier not string her along. i fear that this break up will break jyeongs spirit. hope she recovers..
