I'm watching, though I've seen only episode 1 so far. I'm going to have to catch it on rebroadcast during the day. So far it's kind of wacky, kind of cute, kind of offbeat, about four young people who find themselves becoming amateur detectives. There appears to be a fortune in gold just waiting to be found, and each lead character would not mind finding it. One fellow is more brawn than education, a taekwondo teacher whose enrollment keeps dropping; another is a comic-book reading, work-shy daydreamer. There's a pretty but phony fortune teller who loves to create phony ghostly drama and who would far rather be living a life of ease with designer handbags and shoes. There's a second woman, but I don't know anything about her yet. She just showed up at the end of episode 1 lying unconcious on a rooftop. I'm not sure I'll keep watching, but I'll give it a chance. It's definitely quirky. The backgrounds of the characters form the story development because each one's choices in life causes him/her to behave in certain ways. The show refers to that as The Principle of Causality, if I understand it correctly. The one thing that fascinates me is the score (soundtrack) because it's an unusual pastiche of many musical genres.

I hope there isn't a misunderstanding of the the pacing of the drama...the drama's AIM/PLAN was not kidding when it briefly mentioned the term "Principle of Causality".
The question raised at the end of the drama's opening sequence was "How did it become like this?"[/color] thus from that point onward, the drama sets up all the necessary characters/events/and such (major and minor, no matter how insignificant they might seem at the moment) that will lead up to the point in question (trapped in a dark place, walled in by sand), in a methodological way, considering our green "mixed-up" group of treasure hunters. I cannot stress enough, that our guys are deficient in many ways, but each brings forth their strength (whatever it might be for each individual) to unraveling the mystery that they stumbled upon. These guys are no National Treasure (referring to the Nicholas Cage movie, and not that they can't be a "national treasure")...
I believe that's why, if you noticed the vignettes, each seem to give an answer to or explain an event that had occurred in the episode that we likely were wondering about!
You guys are getting the vignettes at the end of the episode right?
By the end of EP 4, you'll know whether you would want to continue with the drama or not.

Hi Everone,
When was Ep. 1 in Chicago? I taped from 8-9 p.m. Wed. evening and got a rerun of Likable or Not, I think. Therefore I would appreciate a short synopsis of Ep. 1 (if anyone's feeling kind) or perhaps it can be viewed elsewhere?
It's funny to see Lee Min Ki from Dalja's Spring here!
Thanks so much!!

Hi,
I am having a hard time warming up to this drama. What do you all think after three episodes in Chicago? The dramatics of the fortune teller character are a turn off right now, but i may get used to them as we progress.
Thanks and happy holidays.

Hi, I am having a hard time warming up to this drama. What do you all think after three episodes in Chicago? The dramatics of the fortune teller character are a turn off right now, but i may get used to them as we progress. Keep going...remember the opening sequence of the drama? How the fortuneteller snapped and slapped at the mysterious 5th person? That she might have been angry, for the unconscious rich girl? Now, contrast that to her reaction to the rich girl you've seen so far, and ask yourself, what could have happened so that her attitude towards this girl change so dramatically that it seems like she cares for her? Did you fully understand the vignette featured at the end of EP 2, entitled "A Toad¡¯s Sadness" (where the fortuneteller was dressed in a toad's costume) and how that relates to the fortune teller? key word to understanding the unfolding of this drama: "Principle of Causality"

Okay, let's start opening up threads to discuss specific shows (like Pip did with Ep#4) or subjects. I don't want people making this into a long, long thread covering every show that airs. If you don't yet know how to open a thread, it's time you learned. Ask me.
For instance, there's a discussion going on here about the "principles of causality." That's a new subject. Open a thread.

PS - Not yelling at you, creidesca, just trying to nip bad habits in the bud. LOL.
