I am kinda getting ahead in the tv series, if it even goes this far. I went to the official kbs site of Age of warriors and noticed Yi Ui min lives till 1196. Then I found this excerpt from the korean history project site: "In his determined drive for absolute ruling power, General Ch'oe mercilessly eliminated all potential rivals through intrigue and assassination. After swiftly removing high-ranking government officials, generals, even leading Buddhist priests from the government, the Ch'oe brothers wrested government control from the military leadership in 1196." So I am guessing Yi Ui min was among those that were assassinated.

I believe you are mistaken. The Archfiend is in the North at that point in time and is not considered a general but a criminal. Once the other generals and monks are out of the way, the Archfiend will make his move. He will destroy the Chun clan. Imperial Guardian will be assasinated by the ex-convoy.

It could be that Yi Ui-min dies of natural causes in 1196 allowing General Ch'oe to seize power.

As I stated in my first post I'm getting ahead of the series since this is based on korean history. You can read more about this era here: The Beginning www.koreanhistoryproject.org/Ket/Idx/KETIndex0502.htmThe End www.koreanhistoryproject.org/Ket/Idx/KETIndex0503.htm
