Viceroy Cho was a leader in the western part of the country. The military district in the west did not like the thought of deposing Emperor Ui Jong. They were very against the soldiers action in the imperial city. When they learned that the emperor was exiled, the local people erupted and rebelled. Yi Ui Bang decided to fix the problem and marched west. When he reached his destination, Viceroy Cho ordered his fort to be closed and not to negotiate with Yi Ui Bang. Yi Ui Bang decided to surround the fort and to wait until their food supply ran out. Viceroy Cho’s son decided to go talk with Yi Ui Bang. Yi Ui Bang dismissed the teenager and wanted to face Viceroy Cho. The next day, the boy came back again and this time wanted to duel with Ui Bang. Again, Ui Bang dismissed the boy and said next time he’ll kill the boy if he bothered him with juvenille demands. The boy, again, came out and requested a duel. Ui Bang accepted and killed him by beheading him. Viceroy Cho was crushed after his son head was brought back to the fort. Viceroy had enough with the killing and surrendered. He killed himself while his army were killed by the imperial army.. Once again Skinz, great summaries and thanks for the memories. I thought I'd just offer a little correction here. Viceroy Cho was not defeated and killed immediately after Ui Bang killed his son. Cho had some troops returning (unknown to Ui Bang) from an unsuccessful attack they launched on the capital. In addition, Ui Bang's troops morale was low after the endless number of fruitless challenges Cho's impetuous son had given to Ui Bang (Ui Bang kept kicking his rear end but not killing him). Ui Bang didn't want to kill him, but he was advised to finally do it because the troops were getting impressed with the sheer courage of the youth. After receiving his son's head, the saddened and enraged Viceroy Cho launched an attack from the within city the coincided with an attack in Ui Bang's rear led by Cho's vanguard group returning home. Ui Bang was soundly defeated and had to retreat to the capital. This defeat was part of what led to his political decline--his fortunes were wavering by the time Chung Kyun killed him--because it gave additional ammunition to his foes. I believe Kyung Dae Seung first makes his appearance at the end of the episode in which Cho defeats Ui Bang's army. Ui Bang's men had just slaughtered some villagers and the young KDS views the aftermath with much sadness and comforts a little kid. Duduel watching the scene mutters the line "now there is a man to bring light to the darkness". A very dramatic entrance for KDS. Another little sideline note is that Ui Bang originally tried to get Chung Kyun killed (at least so it would seem) by having him lead a punitive expedition against Viceroy Cho. Kyun, a totally inept strategist leads his troops right into a pretty obvious ambush. Viceroy Cho completely annihilates Kyun's army and Kyun barely escapes with his life. It was after that defeat that Ui Bang himself led an army against Viceroy Cho. The battle that preceded the siege in which Cho's son was killed began with Ui Bang defeating Viceroy Cho in a one on one mounted duel by smashing Cho's shoulder with his iron club. Getting back to Viceroy Cho. He did not get defeated until after Ui Bang's death. After he beat Ui Bang he continued to present a threat to the capital. After Ui Bang's death further measures were taken to defeat him. Cho successfully fought off the Archfiend's forces (he had also done so before Ui Bang's death, and in one battle only General Du's timely intervention saved the Archfiend). Eventually Viceroy Cho was defeated by the patient siege tactics of General Du. Realizing his people were starving and his rebellion had failed he surrendered to save his people further suffering. General Du allowed him to commit suicide so as to die with dignity.

Olan Ah! Olan. Don't let her sweet smile get you, this woman is one tough chick. Olan was Muby personal bodyguard who protected Muby and Muby's son. She was also the messenger between Muby and Ui Bang secret love affair. While Ui Bang was running for his life, Olan was sent to help Ui Bang against Chun Kyun and his army. She fought bravely against the Chun army until she was captured. She was tortured by Chun for the whereabouts of Ui Bang. Knowing her mission was never going to be completed, she decided death was her only way to keep Ui Bang safe and killed herself. The evil duo Former soldiers, they were very unhappy with KDS plan to bring back the ways before the 1170 rebellion. There only hero was Yi Ui Min, who fought in the rebellion and wouldn't dare try to change the status of the soldier. Like "Monkey Man", these two jumped boats to whoever had the most power. Yi Jong Ui {Yi Ui Bang's older brother} He entered the royal court with the help of his relations to Yi Ui Bang. When Ui Bang was in power, he thought he was above everyone else and basically cared less about anyone. He bribed Yi Ui Bang to enter some of their relatives to make the Yi clan the dominant clan in office. When Ui Bang was killed, he went into hiding and tried to cooperate with Chung-Bu. The king's servants I know, I know. Why did I bother putting them here? Hey, they need some spotlight. Anyway, not much can be said about them. The male servant was actually a spy for the Chung clan. He was the one who messed with the arrangement of the King's marriage and planted Chung Bu "secret girl". The woman servant did show some courage to the most powerful leaders. She also gave the emperor some needed guidance since she served previous emperors. Captain Suk Yi young Jin Former soldiers in Yi Ui Bang army, these two fellows betrayed their leader and hooked up with General Cho and the Chungs. Also, they were the ones who betrayed the Archfiend by poisoning him and setting up a ambush for the reward by Chun Kyun. Yi Young Jin also dueled with a member of the Dobang group and came out victorious. Later on, their "loyalty" to General Cho will vanish away and set up the downfall of General Cho tyranny.

The KDS and Dobang era came to an end. General Cho rule. Since they were no real powerful warriors in the court, General Cho claimed that he would do what the rest of the past warriors couldn’t do: overthrow the emperor and take the throne. Although General Du was still present, his main focus was to protect the emperor and the imperial family and not to challenge Cho. Meanwhile, Ui Min met Aran and was shocked that Bu-Young left again. Ui Min brushed Aran aside and focused on killing KDS and taking the capital city. Urgent news arrived and Ui Min found out that KDS was dead and General Cho has taken over the Central Committee. Laughing at how General Cho became powerful, Ui Min gathered his men for the easy victory. After the crushing defeat, Ui Min began to start a new army of survivors from the last battle. However, the Emperor had another idea in mind. He believed that if he could bring back Ui Min to the capital he can get rid of General Cho and relax about his legitimacy to the throne (Remember, Ui Min was part in his rise in the 117 rebellion). Ui Min couldn’t believe the ease of getting back in the imperial city. He gathered general Choi, Jasun, Brue, and his men for a strategy plan. Ui Min, Brue, Aran, Ui Min sons, Ui Min 1st wife and General Choi would enter the city and take over the army, while Jasun would remain in Mt. Mita and train the Shilla soldiers until the time was ready to invade. Fearing the return of Ui Min General Cho bribed anyone he could find. Sadly, his actions did not pay off as everyone close to him abandoned him. When Ui Min arrived, Cho even tried to bribe Ui Min into sharing power with him. Ui Min drove Cho out of the city and began taking over the Central Committee. General Cho decided to try to sneak back in the imperial city. He was eventually caught and executed. By the way, General Cho tyranny lasted three episodes. SUBPLOT-THE EMERGENCE OF THE GREAT CHOI CHOONG HONDuring KDS final days, a new commander paid a visit to the sick KDS. He analyzed KDS and went on to analyze Archfiend as well. From the two meetings, this new commander went under the command of the Archfiend and planned out his actions on acquiring power in the future. The new commander was Choi Choong Hon who would have a significant role in the Archfiend downfall. Back to the story… Now Ui Min had control of the Central Committee and everyone bowed to his feet. Living in the north and Surubal (his hometown), Ui Min now knew the way to gain power: He must have the people’s heart and the blessing of the people. Aran, on the other hand, was more concentrated on gaining more power by becoming the Ui Min one and only wife and securing her role as the new shilla queen. Master Duduel decided to visit Ui Min and fell into a scolding by Ui Min. Master Duduel explained that he had no choice but to sacrifice the army to save the Ui Min life. Meeting Aran, Master Duduel was quite suspicious on Aran true intentions. Choi Choong Hon was now determined to obtain his goal but waited patiently for the right moment. Talking to his favorite geisha,Lotus, he sent for help from his family members. Gathered together, they all vowed to someday bring peace and improve the strength of the koryo dynasty. Choong-Su Yak-Jin Suk-Soong Jin Jae Meanwhile, Ui Min two younger sons were running wild in the city by drinking excessively and flirting with all the females. They bumped into Choi Choong Hon and demanded an apology. Choi Choong Hon apologized but they wanted a more sincere apology and demanded he should kneel and kiss their feet. Holding his dignity back, Choi Choong reluctantly followed the order. The two young men laughed while Choi Choong vowed to never be disgraced ever again.

After the disgrace of bowing down to his subordinates, Choi Choong Hon rushed to the only solution for such a problem; He went to the temptations of liquor and lots of it. Lotus tried to calm Choi out of his drunken state, but it was too late, for the shame had already been done. Choi Choong Su, However, had no time for drinking. Choi Su wanted Ui Min two sons head and marched over to Ui Min residence. Upon arriving, Choi Su approached Ui Min sons disrespect to the head of the Choi Clan. Ui Min paid no attention to the matter and carried on about his business. Pissed off, Choi Su planned an attack on Ui Mn later that night. General Choi and Brue fought off the attack and pressured the assassins to retreat. Choi Choong Hon gathered his men, once again, and planned out their next move on Ui Min. Choi appointed Suk Syoong and Yak-Jin to train men in a secret mountain and prepare for the overthrow. Choi Su and Jin Jae were appointed to try to get close with Ui Min by giving their service in babysitting Ui Min troublesome younger sons. Choi Choong Hon himself would pretend to be an idiot to force Ui Min to be off guard. He also asked his slave, Manjok , to acquire several little girls for a secret mission. One girl, called Jausoon, caught Choi’s eyes. In addition, Lotus began helping Choi by giving him funds for his secret army and seducing Ui Min for info on Ui Min’s Shilla army in Mt Mita. Consuming power left and right in such quick fashion gave Ui Min no justification for his true goal. Ui Min’s realization of resurrecting Shilla dwindled and he dove right into the same seat as Yi Ui Bang and Chung Bu. He acquired the esteemed title of Imperial Guardian and began to abuse his power by intimidating the emperor, Myong Jong. As Ui Min was gaining more power in the government, our devious witch Aran (Hey, we all hate that character, don't we?) began her plan on taking the seat of queen all to herself. Her first goal was to gain an alliance for her schemes. Her first choice was Ui Min’s second son, Yi Ji Young. While talking with Ui Min’s first wife, the secret of Ui Min’s first son came out. Ui Min’s first son was actually the son of the official that tortured Ui Min and his brothers. Seeing an opportunity, she planted the seed of jealousy by telling Yi Ji Young that he should be the prince of shilla instead of his older brother. Excited of the possibility of being a prince, they worked together to gain their own selfish needs. Master Duduel finally caught on to her scheme and scolded her to return her native village. Aran, instead, decided the old man had to go once and for all. She brainwashed Yi Ji Young into burning Master Duduel cabin while he was inside.

Sorry everyone for the delay, but I'm gonna stop this until Yi Ui Min death scene is broadcast in philly or anywhere else. I would love to show what happens, but the episode is just way to good to spoil it for anyone who haven't seen it.
So to all the philly fans or new fans, tell me when you seen it and I'll continue on.

Thanks Skinz. We just saw Episode 113 here in Philly. Master Duduel returns from the dead to ask Jasun to watch out for the eldest son, Du gets promoted over Archfiend to the dismay of the Central Committee, CCH works on his long-term take-over plan. I think we have a ways to go yet to Archfiend's death.

Miraculously, Master Duduel survived the incident and brought it to the attention to Yi Ui Min. Aran and Yi Ji Young were shocked to see Duduel still alive. Unfortunately, the archfiend was too busy with his current situation. Aran became pregnant and much needed attention was ordered by her. (In reality, Aran wanted all the attention since Ui Min was visiting Lotus way too much.) Jasun decided to pay the Archfiend a visit since he had not sent a word for the assault. During the conversation, Ui Min stated he was no longer going to conquer the imperial city and to shut down all operations. Jasun was stunned and questioned his leader decision. Ui Min stated that he was already powerful and held the emperor in his hands. There was no need to conquer the city since he already controled everything. Jasun, angry for wasting his time on the preparations, reported back up north to everyone about Ui Min’s commands. Among the soldiers, Kim Sami (a soldier who master duduel brought along for his superior military strategies at a young age) decided that Ui Min was not really the imperial dragon but was an imposter. After bringing up the morale of the soldiers, Kim Sami proclaimed himself as the true imperial dragon. The Shilla army were now launching their attack on the imperial city. Back at the city, the movements of the Shilla army were spotted and was reported to Ui Min. Ui Min was pissed off that his secret army was moving against his command and decided to eliminate them. (Ui Min had to play along or else his secret would be exposed to Choi Choong Hon and General Du, who both questioned Ui Min intentions.) Knowing his actions were being monitored by Choi Choong Hon, General Du and the Emperor, Ui Min decided to send his older son Ji Soon to stop the rebels and show he was not involved with them. Before Ji Soon departed, Yi Ui min told his son to make contact with them instead of killing them.

SkinZ, you're already ahead a little bit. Right now, we're at the episode where Aran advised Archfriend to get rid of his son, Ji Soon. So they can cover up the treason plot he had with Jason and Kim Sami.

Well since I can't continue the summary for the possibility of spoiling some moments, I'll just give some pointers on who to focus on that will have some major roles in future episodes. , Although he is rather pointless at this point in time, he'll become a major character in the later point of the show so pay attention to him. Choi Choong Hon sons They'll become the main stars at the end of the series so pay attention on how they communitcate to each other The Slave girl that Choi Choong Hon brought. She will be a great deal to the downfall of Yi Ui Min. Also pay attention to her relationship to Choi Choong Hon. Her end will be tragic because of it.
