I agree with you HC - this "society" that'll be doing the stigmatizing?? just how would they KNOW about the father/step-father relationship unless someone PURPOSELY TOLD about it? Given that Jiyeon didn't even recognize him as her own father -- seems to be anticipating problems that might never occur for this couple to say they would be "stigmatised" by society. Jiyeong's mother is now at last realizing what a terrible injustice she has done to her daughter and Taesop - but not Taesop's totally selfish, egotistical mother. That woman can do nothing but think of herself - all her moaning over her son was for HER PAIN not his. Not once did she even think of the emotional and heart breaking pain she caused her son; then to blame Jiyoeng for it - she's just too much and I cannot wait until something falls on her head to wake her up or someone tells her off -- what a nasty bit of work she is.

I have been faithful viewer, but due to a commitment for work, I missed the last show....how did the show wrap up? I have been a KBS famatic for nearly 2 years...but new to the fan club, Message from Lucy, moderator: vhall, welcome to the board, but this is a Chicago-based board and the show is not over here. Please be careful about spoiling the ending or any other surprises we may not have seen here in Chicago.

One question, 2cents, (and btw glad you finally stopped lurking and started posting ). When you said that Junho only cheated once, did you mean with only one woman? If so, then I guess your comment was technically correct. But the "model dad" cheated with that same ugly s__t countless times, even after his wife found out and had finally agreed to give him another chance. I can understand why Jiyeon couldn't continue to forgive him. In spite of the odd family connection, I still think Jiyeon and Taesop and their children would be much happier together. I'm a mother too, and if my daughter was in a situation like this, with everything that happened in the past, I would deal with my own discomfort and let her marry the man that really loves her so she could find true happiness at long last. Their obstacles in getting society to accept them would be minimal if the mothers were supportive and not such selfish, self-centered bit__es. Thanks for the welcome HappyCamper! I say Junho cheated once and with the same woman because it was mentioned a couple of times during conversations between Junho and Jiyeon and between Junho and THAT woman! And to another poster who asked about the stigmatised. Who goes around advertising such things. But people do find out things and talk. [edited to remove spoiler. --Lucy ]

The show is not over. We have several weeks to go. I don't know where you're posting from, 2cents, but if it's not Chicago, then you just spoiled the ending for everyone, including ME, despite the many warnings and the presence of a spoiler thread. That is inconsiderate and against our rules. I have removed the suspected spoiler. If you are a Chicago watcher and were just guessing as to the show's ending, then please make that clear.

I really liked when junho took eunji to see taesop & she wanted to kiss his boo boo & gave him her pinwheel. that was so thoughtful of taesop & eunji.
junho seemed to be getting better, but seeing last week's episode & it's preview, he & his family do seem to be taking over eunji. I mean jiyeon says no, but they don't listen, then junho's starting to act the same way.
I know they're family too & jiyeon's trying to give everyone "eunji" time, but IMO, it feels like jiyeon's gonna lose her if she doesn't start putting her foot down.
I just wish jiyeon would end up with taesop.
I also thought by now that eunji would start calling jiyeon's dad grandfather. I could just see it now...eunji talking about grandfather to jiyeon's mom & her finding out she wasn't talking about junho's dad, eek!

Yes, you said that it turned out a certain way, and you didn't qualify it as a guess. In response, you see PippiBella's row of frowny-faces. Was it a guess? Are you a Chicago viewer?

I am quite certain I didn't say that this was the way the show would turn out. But you do know that this is a Korean drama, filmed entirely in Korea for a Korean audience. The way it will not turn out is a foregone conclusion from episode 1!
Having said that, I want to say that there are 2/3 posters who do not seem to pay attention to dialogue between the characters. I have read comments written by ex-posters (well 2 of them I think) who commented on actual conversations and to which someone would reply with a row of frowny-faces or insist on her own version of the drama. I think some one needs to turn up the volume on her TV set so she can hear clearly. This is not an action movie. You gotta pay attention to the dialogue to know what is happening. To say the least, I am not impressed with frowny-faces or warnings. I can see now why the 2 ex-posters are no longer posting. They must feel they are bashing their heads against a brick wall! I should have remained a lurker!
Am I a Chicago viewer? Not that it makes much difference but yes, from Hyde Park.

Would turning up the volume make the subtitles bigger?? I had to stop watching because the "other" two mothers (Junho's and Byeonggu's) voices got on my last nerve. Every time they came on I had to grab got the remote and turn the volume DOWN. Finally just the sight of them was too much.

The point, 2cents, is not whether you are viewing in Chicago, but whether you had seen the end and posted the end before others knew it. And I see from the spoiler thread that you apparently DID see the end before others did, so perhaps you posted a spoiler without realizing it. In any case, your statements that were either mistaken for or actually were spoilers obviously were not clear, or the moderator (who has the last word on any online board as you very well know) and another member would not have mistaken your post that you say is innocent. That happens sometimes, and you don't need to start attacking other posters to defend yourself. If people are scared away from a board by a row of frowny faces, they probably need a backbone transplant. If you have a difference of opinion, fine--but, please, stop trying to make other people feel bad. It does not become you. Bo

What ever does "I am not impressed with frowny-faces" mean? My take was that Pippi was unhappy at the way the show turned out according to 2cents' post. My reaction was the same. You'd have to have a guilty conscience to think that it was a comment on the fact of the spoiler itself.
Bo, I asked 2cents where he/she is from in order to judge whether he/she was in possession of certain knowledge of the ending. I forgot that there are other ways a Chicago viewer could find out how the show ends, such as watching it on VOD. Evidently.

Would turning up the volume make the subtitles bigger?? LOL. Quote of the day! The best part about subtitles--aside from the fact that you don't have to listen to Byeonggu's tiny chihuahua of a mother yapping away--is that you can mute the TV and take a phone call from someone who talks a lot and still not miss much of the show.
