brenda, no prob! I stumbled over korean dramas over a year ago! I LOVE them. I love this site because they help you with language barrier and upcomming shows. i'm italian so i need the help. you'll soon find that you can't live with out korean dramams!! too bad you just started. Dalja Spring just ended last week. It was a cute comedic drama. you would have loved it. hopefully they will make more of those in the future.

Pippibella, ya, I think I caught the last 2 or 3 eps of dalja's spring. Then when I saw the last ep ff like it did, I thot I missed a lot, but it sounds like the end was meant that way. I'll have to catch "hello baby/lady" tmo & thurs. to see how it is, let ya know later. when I watch other kdramas, I recognize faces from prev kdramas, but I'm good with names. byeee.

Don't forget the repeats! If you happened to be watching Friday night (6/16/07) and noticed that a sizable portion of the show was repeated after a commercial break, you might also realize that due to that human error, a portion of the show had to be deleted for time constrictions. The missing portion aired this morning during the repeat. Therefore, here's the basic pattern of the nightly dramas: Mon-Thurs dramas repeat the following afternoon around 1PM (although it can be 12:55-1:10 in real time so be careful) and the Fri-Sat dramas repeat on Mon/Tues, repectivley at about 9:15AM after the morning story, which is currently As The River Flows. This is driving me crazy. I keep missing at least one first-run episode of "Happy Woman" each week, and then I miss the repeats because either I'm spacing out when I set the time on the VCR or they have changed the time of the repeat showing. I'm supposed to be moderating this puppy, and I have no idea what happened last week, except I did see Saturday's episode and was quite surprised to see that Jiyeon has a child now.

i'm glad i'm not the only one. i'm trying to explain to my husband that it's reallly 3yrs later, (& I only knew that cuz jiyeon's ex mil was on the phone saying her son had been gone 3 yrs & is coming back from the states. so who is her little girl's father? I thought I heard her say she was 4yrs old when she got lost. if so, what gives?
also in the beginning of saturday's episode the detective's "son" called him dad, did anyone else catch that after their jog when they were eating breakfast, it was a different little boy playing his "son" for the rest of the episode?

I thought I heard her say she was 4yrs old when she got lost. if so, what gives? In Asian society, as I recall, a person is considered "one year old" on the day they're born. That can be very confusing to us Westerners, who start the count at "zero."

anyways, then is juhno the father? I know I must have missed last fri's ep, but it must have had a lot of things happening.

No, no, you guys are impossible, LOL. Don't just make another thread the "dump," be adventurous! You really should open a new thread if you start a new topic, or if you want to discuss a different episode. To do that, go to the front page (when you first open the board for the show). At the upper right-hand corner in the orange-yellow bar, it says: "mark as read" " new thread" "new poll" See that? Everyone see that? Click "new thread" and sam's your uncle! You've got one! Just put in a title for the thread, and post as usual. Everybody then be happy! Even Bo! ;D Bo

That can be very confusing to us Westerners, who start the count at "zero." Yes, when baby is born, baby is one year old because Asians believe that the unborn child is already a human being. Not just happen to become a person the moment baby is out of womb. And the birthday to celebrate between western and Asian is different because of the lunar cycle. Very traditional Asians will celebrate their Asian (Chinese/Korean/Indian etc) birthday. I remember my maternal Grandfather who ran a business trading with mainly Westerners would only celebrate his Chinese birthday. Whenever a westerner asked him when was his birthday, he would say if for that year it was already over, "I will consult lunar position and let you know later". Some not very incultrated ones would repeat the question in a loud voice as if the old man could not understand the question

that is very interesting. i never knew that! i am italian so we celebrate our name sake saints day. the name sake saints day is it the same as feast day? A classmate once invited me to celebrate her feast day. I thought feast meant eating so greedy me was very happy to get invite She took me to her Church. At first I was bored because the songs sang not so lively like other Christian churches but when I listened to the words said only by the Priest, every word was very meaningful and rich. Very moving and real, not just playing on emotions to get you up. I thought it was the most sacred and beautiful religious event I ever attended, even with my own religion considered. If this is the same, then I have took part in a name sake saints day celebration and it is indeed throughly beautfiul and uplifting. (If not the same, maybe you can message me - if you like - to share how it is celebrated. I like to learn about other people's customs and beliefs. Thank you).
