In the museum when Aunt and Teacher admitted they told their families they wouldn't get married, I kept wanting them to at least hold hands, maybe kiss. Aigu! How about if didn't wait to get married and got pregnant?! Could that help? I'm really sick of younger Grandmother. What a total selfish b****. Saving her daughter from marrying the man she has loved for 20 years-

Younger grandmother was a second wife and said that the marriage was good, why is she giving her daughter such a hard time then? Unless she's hiding something.

Yeah, she cries when she talks about her marriage as a second wife-because the neighbors talked or what was it? I think this is the first time I've seen it to be a bad thing to be a second wife. Usually they write it as though it's unpleasant to have a stepmother, don't they?

It was short, but I thought it was a nice wedding scene. Myeoungju looked beautiful… amazing what a few cucumber slices can do. Even Lipstick Grandma looked elegant with her traditional dress and new hairstyle. I keep forgetting to ask this, but the night before when Junghon was having a drink with his family, the two daughters both turned to the side when they took their drink. I've seen this in other shows as well and wonder if it's some kind of alcohol etiquette… it doesn't happen all the time, which is why I wonder. Thanks to anyone who knows.

I seem to remember reading that this is a matter of respect for age. It's polite when drinking with someone older to turn to the side and not drink facing them.

Another "Alcohol Etiquette" you see in the same situation is that it's bad form to pour your own drink. Thus we see characters always pouring drinks for each other.

I have not been watching this drama for weeks and just decided to get back into it. I'm glad to see aunt got married to her longtime crush. I was disappointed that my tape ran out just as they were drinking the traditional wine at the traditional table in the traditional hotel room for the traditional awkward pre-bed wedding night conversation. (All Korean drama wedding nights are alike, with or without hints of the awkwardness continuing into the bedroom.) Could anyone tell me what happened after that? Also, has he ever said he loves her? In my infrequent check-ins with this drama, all he ever says is that, essentially, he appreciates her for the fact that she worships him/he's lucky to have her because she loves him. (Always a nice trait in a woman, huh? ) Has he ever come through with some tenderness for her? Thanks!

Oh, and one more thing--when did Second Mother move out, and where did she go to, or do they not know? Thanks and sorry for all the questions!

Well, we din't see anything happen . . . even less hints at anything than is usual for a KBS daily drama. On the Philly Board, there's a big discussion on whether "Something" happened or not. "Older [Grand]Mother" returned to her own home, but has not told anyone but Sang-hyeon that she is well-off. She tells everyone else that she is working as a housekeeper, and can only visit when her employer gives her a day off. Even though they all seem a little doubtful, they accept this, except for Myeong-tae, whose "Nose for money" is suspicious. He is certain that his birth mother has money she's not sharing with him. Bong-rye (Birthmom) knows he's suspicious, but she doesn't want him to know that she's wealthy until he can demonstrate that he's anything other than a slime-ball, which he finds very difficult to do.

;D The actor who plays Myeong-tae was on the KBS star show the other day. He is so UNLIKE his character in this drama LOL. The actor playing Taesik was also in the segment shown. They went fishing and had a really good time with lots of laughs etc. Seems they are friends on and off the set. It gave me a lot more appreciation of his acting skills to see him "for real". I think I like this show a lot more now LOL

What fun, sorry I missed it. Thanks for the help, Soju and everyone. One other catch-up question, if you will indulge me. What is the backstory on Eunha? When I stopped watching, everyone was talking about how she had some big problem in the past and it scarred her, so that's why her mother is so overprotective and she doesn't have any friends. Then I saw an episode where Jisu and Muyeong went to confront a former schoolmate of Eunha's, but I didn't see what happened after that, and now it seems that Eunha is putting whatever happened behind her. Could you tell me what the trauma was? THANKS!

Back in grade school, Eun-ha was tormented by her classmates as "Barbie Doll", because Hye-gyeong (her Mom) tried to make everything perfect for her.
Her worst tormentor was So-jeong, who was insecure herself, and abused Eun-ha to gain acceptance from the other children.
The most egregious thing that they mentioned was that she cut off Eun-ha's hair.
