I like Chae Rim a lot and it's great to see her again, so I'm very happy this show's on here, especially since Hwang Jini wasn't a favorite of mine (Baekmu sure was no Lady Han!). This one has promise - we've seen 4 different series with Ms.Rim and they've all been good, 2 of them (All About Eve and On the Green Prarie) among the very best of the modern dramas. But we'll see...

You're a good ButtonPusher Lucy ... .. I did read up on this series and made the discovery that EarRingMan was a part of this story. Having read that ... and the article you made reference to, well, the temptation to watch may work... for perhaps 2 more weeks. I found the knuckle-cracking sounds especially annoying, plus I don't find the lead actress very appealing at all. But if ERM comes to play an important part, that could change my mind. So thank you for pushing me in the right direction.

Plus, this drama features Kim Na-yoon, who you'll remember as Lee Tae-ran's friend and co-worker in 'Yellow Handkerchief'. She was probably my favorite minor character in that one.

I saw the interview of Dalja and her paid beau on the entertainment show (with some major spoilers D=). The actor who plays the beau doesn't seem all that bright, but in an inadvertantly hilarious way. you must mean this interview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGfm2H3jOr0the same program aired an interview with the leads also back in December, you likely missed it, it featured Lee Hyun Woo, Lee Min Ki, and Chae Rim, and Lee Hye Young and Gong Hyun Jin you guys might not recall Lee Min Ki unless you're a fan of Drama City, as he appeared in 3 of them...his first (not to mention debut role) being the one written by the writer of Sangdoo! Let's Go to School/Sorry I Love You/A Love to Kill, entitled 'My Older Brother'...the one where a boy lives with grandpa, grandma, and brother, and the secret is the brother is actually the boy's father. Lee Min Ki portrayed the brother/father. Then there's 'Oh! Sarah' which dealt w/ a bunch of friends that accidently got ahold of money belonging to a bunch of thugs...the 3 friends each had a dream. And the martial arts one, entitled 'Booyong of Mt. Kyeryong' He's been nominated twice at the KBS Drama Awards (2004 and 2005, for his roles in the 3 Drama City episodes) Both Chae Rim and Kim Hye Soo have described Lee Min Ki as sweet, pure, and innocent. For a 22-23 year old, he is very sincere, courteous and mannerly whenever he appears on tv programs, always bowing, apologizing, thanking his elders...so unlike many other stars his age. And he has a great memory as showcased in KBS' Heroine 6. Not to mention his thinking can be described as a bit odd/beyond those his age?

One thing I've liked about this show so far is how it seems to be predictable, but then a little plot twist comes along. Nothing out of the blue, just the sort of vagary (or is it vicissitude? ) like might happen in real life, such as realizing you can have a good relationship with your rival, as a colleague.

Exactly, Soju. I take it as part of showing how Dalja is finally growing up. She has all these ideas that she tells us about, things she just knows will happen or stuff about how the world works, and then we all find out together how wrong she was.

Who cares how sappy. Dalja (the actress) is the cutest thing ever seen on tv. We need a change of pace now and then

Did anyone else see two of the characters from this show were on Old & New on Monday night. I wish they would subtitle that show. I would watch it all the time. It looks hilarious cause everyone is always acting goofy and laughing alot, but I have no idea what they are talking about.

"Sae-do" and "Tae-bong" appeared on the Happy Sunday, Heroine 6 segment for 2 consecutive weeks.

While I’m not totally thrilled with it, some of the folks on the California board are flat-out crazy about it, so I hope people will give it a fair chance to see if it's to their liking. I'm starting to come around to their opinion myself. I think if this program hadn't followed Hwang Jini we all might not have been so hard on it in the beginning. I know I had a HJ hangover the first 2 episodes, and found myself bailing in some scenes that were just too silly to take. While there are still continuity and credibility issues, I'm liking the main characters better now that I know them a little more. The underlying theme of a woman in her prime's struggle to validate her self worth and find/maintain her place in a seemingly elusive perfect world is also interesting to me. And at times it's very funny. The Hwang Jini parody in last night's episode 7 was excellent. I wondered if they were being self deprecating or poking fun at the HJ fans as if they knew we were making unfair comparisons. I don't imagine they could have that kind of control over the scheduling, but it was ironic. If I had stumbled onto this show as my first K drama, I'd be raving about it. I'm glad now that I stuck with it.

I love this program. As a woman who at one time was 33 years old and still single I can understand most of the predicaments Dahla gets into. I like all of the characters, but I do like Taebong the most as the man for Dahla. Mr. Perfect is also cute, I have liked him since I saw him in "Wedding". Sedo and Sunju are also becoming nicer and nicer. No evil people in this one, just people like those we know in reaL life.
