Sorry for the bump of such an old thread, but is there any news out there regarding actually purchasing EWG or AoW on DVD? It'd be greeeeat to be able to purchase a professionally produced, high quality DVD set of these two series. They are getting old now, and most google searches turn up people interested in newer series with only a brief mention of these aging ones. If they aren't made available soon (I'm assuming they still aren't), it'll probably never happen. Which sucks! There's literally money for the original producers waiting to be made in the US, and nobody seems to know why they havn't gone ahead with this. Like I said above, I do have (most) of both series from beginning to end recorded on either VHS or DVD, but the integrity of both series as a whole isn't perfect. EWG is entirely on VHS and some of the beginning of AoW is on VHS (=crap quality, and they become worse with age!). Sometimes the channel we were doing the recording off of would have a bad transmission and stutter alot, cable would go out, power would go out, and so on... sometimes crap would just happen that was out of our control. Rather than trying to track down people for trading bad/missing episodes, it would be so much better to just BUY these DVD sets!

Was just checking what was going on in the AOW fan club. YES I am still having withdrawal pangs and yes something still seem to be missing out of life since AOW ended. (sigh) oh well ..... I hope everyone from AOW days are doing fine. The best show in the history of television is no more .... do you think we could do a writing campaigne for them to either show reruns or add sub- titles to the VOD??? .... wishful thinking I suppose ...... ok you guys ( and ladies) it was nice just coming back to this site and reminiscing on what was ..... until we meet again ( or AOW comes back on ) goodnight ... Mike PS: Just can't bring myself to say goodbye

However, having most of these two series on VHS could make you an important person around this little community. BTW Mike and Kim, not a week goes by that I don't wish that I could see AOW, EWG or IYSS again. For now friends we lament together. -7S

Yes, not a day goes by when I don't wish a subtitled AOW DVD set would become available. Some months ago I finished watching my RTK DVD set. A very nice job and a fine production, but not in the same league as AOW.
The other day, my 4-1/2 year old was watching a dinosaur show where a T-rex is fatally wounded by an ankylosaur smacking it with its club tail. I remarked to my son that the T-rex had been "Ui-Banged". Yup, can't get that show out of my head. Never will.
