Hey folks.
This is my first post here but I fell in love with Age Of Warriors when Choi first came into the scene. Definately think this was a top knotch show.
Can anyone tell me is there a place where I can buy the series on DVD or does anyone here have them on vhs and would be willing to make me a copy so i can see the whole series? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Daryl (from the NW side)

hi Daryl you may want to look at yesasia.com They may or may not have the DVD. They are more likely to have a VCD though.

how many eps do you have recorded? Bob[/quote] The first six. Ep. 127, and the last one. AOW ended on Oct.30 here in New York. I wish I had a second chance, but now we have a new show, "Immortal Yi Soon Shin", so I am trying to record all of that show.

There seems to be a lot of AOW fans out here. I think that if we shared copied of groups of shows, we could all eventually have what we missed or what we want to see again. What I'm thinking of doing is to offer a DVD conversion to anyone wanting to send VHS to me, I can put those eps onto DVD and send back to them, or send a DVD with other eps (and of course return the original tape)
I've been using the same VHS tape to record 2 shows at a time, then after watching -- recording the next 2 over them. sadly if I had this DVD burner sooner I would have many eps on DVD. and since I don't use VHS to "store" programs I only used it to watch the show the next day.
I just started putting the shows directly onto DVD+R and started with episode 106. I'm getting 7 eps per disc and quality is about as good as a VHS tape.

Hey SubPrimitive, welcome to the board. Your idea for the DVDs are great, but there's a big problem.
First is the length of the show. You said you are currently putting 7 episodes in one dvd, right? If you managed to put all the episode in a DVD format, you're looking at a 23 DVD set. ( The AOW series have 158 Episodes) If you have the time, then go for it. But your looking at months to find people with footage and more to put them onto DVDs.
Second, most viewers (including myself) caught AOW by accident by flipping through channels. So people did not have a chance to record a lot of the earlier episodes.
Lastly, some scenes from certain episodes were cut out to fit the specific timeslot. You can watch full episodes on the website, but there's no subtitle for us to understand.
This issue have been discussed already, but there are too much walls blocking the path. If you still want to continue, I'll be your first customer. ;D

thanks for the reply I actually gave this great thought before I started thinking about recording/putting on DVD of all shows. I'm not sure I want dozens of DVD's of shows I may never watch a 2nd time. and if this was the case I would be recording at higher quality and about 2 - 3 eps per discs.
the point I'm looking for is folks to get eps that they missed I started randomly watching this show early on, but missed them here and there and only started watching them religiously (I'm guessing around ep 50 or so)
Now I've read this thing about the eps being cut to fit time slots. that isn't good. The time per episode on my local PBS is between 45 - 50 minutes a piece. what is the cut time? I hate when they pull that crap.
I'm looking to get early eps from 1 to ..... then stop when I get caught up to where I missed.
somewhere between here and there, maybe a lot of us can get to see missed episodes? Bob

Actually, I have every show (up to the point that it's at on the channel I watch) recorded either on VHS, DVD, or both, starting from the first. My channel (WYBE) is way past the 100th show now I believe. There's only a few where I either forgot it was on or where the channel had transmission problems, etc. I probably won't be taking the time to move these into divx format or anything anytime soon (no good method to upload them anyway), but after the series is over and I'm not afraid of seeing spoilers at sites like this (already seen one...grr), I may be doing some AoW (or other series) related projects. I also have all of "Emperor Wang Guhn" on VHS here (earlier series), so I've plenty to work with! Without giving spoilers, a young monk kid (forget name) just joined the show and just reached his late teens in age, to give a better idea of where I'm at here. My channel usually plays two shows a week. I'm guessing there's probably around 20-30 more shows left or so! See you in a few months.

I actually saw menu pages for an EWG video game, as well as EWG on DVD. If this is true, then AOW will certainly not be far behind.
