Interesting developments for two characters. Jini's father appears out of nowhere and gets a fresh "liquid facial" from Jini when she realizes who the man is. I found it weird, however, that the man who was supposedly her father looked to be a man her own age. It was awkward and unbelievable. So the Musical Accompanist for the troop has been in love with Jini's mother (in secret). I like this guy. I see the character as a man of pride and dignity. In the earlier episodes featuring Eunho it was admirable of him to go to Eunho to convince him to commit to Jini, even bringing a bag of money to help them run away together. Nice character development.

I found it weird, however, that the man who was supposedly her father looked to be a man her own age. It was awkward and unbelievable. I was thinking the exact same thing until Jini and her mom were seeing him off outside the gate. Maybe it was lighting, but he definitely looked much older, and I could see him as being the father's age. In that same scene however, I caught myself thinking that Jini looked older than her mom! Again, maybe the lighting, or too much make up on Jini, or just me.

Yes, Jini's father did look young then old then young again. But her mother seems young too except in close-ups. At first I thought maybe he was going to be a relative of jini's bodyguard Mr. Strong & Silent. Jini figured his story out so quickly. I was surprised that she was able to stay in control of her temper when he was at her mother's room.
I thought it was obvious from the beginning that the accompanist was in love with Jini's mom. They've been very close since the beginning of the show. He seemed to be more of a father figure to Jini than to any of the other gisaeng.
