EPISODE #124 Gaepil feels he should have stayed with Huek Sudol. That might be a good idea since everyone knows Sudol can be reckless at times. Sudol knows they’ll figure out the scarecrow soldiers soon. HS says as long as he and Mapa are alive, they won’t retreat until the people have safely reached Chunmunryeong. Well it didn't take long, Li Wen finds out they have been tricked but of course Shin Hong already knows. Touching scene between Sudol and Gaepil - Wolf of Madu. So sad he had to die. Poor Tungso, he was so distraught when they brought Gaepil's body back to DJY's camp. Auhong faints when she hears Sudol intends to fight his final fight. DJY and Biwu are also extremely upset and want to go back for Heuk Sudol. Good line from Sudol.... “I don’t use my noggins that often, but I’m pretty smart once you get to know me.”

I'm crying because of Sudol and Gapil. And I'm crying because I missed these episodes because of the schedule change. Rats.

That scene brought tears to my eyes. Poor Geumlan and Biwu. Why are they killing off all the "good guys"? They killed Zhou Renshi but that's it for the bad guys. The story has gotten crazier than ever. At the end of 127, DJY is in Chulin's tent with Li Kaigu hiding behind the curtains. DJY looks towards where LK is hiding and starts to approach with weapon in hand..... end of episode. The next episode, DJY and Chulin are sitting at the table having tea!!!! What happened? First off, if there were traps everywhere, how did he even get into the Khitan camp let alone Chulin's tent? One minute LK looks at Chulin like a love sick teenager and the next he says I will kill her myself, I can't have anyone else kill her. Also that map that the Khitan traitor drew was ridiculous. He's a nobody and wouldn't know where all the mountain peaks and traps were. Why would he listen to Shin Hong anyway? DJY is making so many bad decisions, he won't listen to Mimosa and people are getting killed !! What's going on? I can only imagine who will die and what will happen in the last few episodes.

I agree the story is getting crazier and crazier. The writers have gone off the deep end as the series draws to a close. For all the times everyone has had miraculous escapes in battles, suddenly everyone's being killed off at the end of the series. Why not have one more miraculous escape for our heros? I find it unbelieveable that SH's traitor would be able to get his hands on a map. How many raw-hide maps would have been made anyway? One thing that I do find plausible is that there may have been many Khitan soldiers who still had loyalty to LK, but not much was said about that. The flip flopping with LK & DJY in Chulin's tent was annoying. Felt like the writers were setting us up when DJY pulled his sword at the end of one episode, only to find him sipping tea at the beginning of the next. Looks like the remaining episodes are going to be rough. Betcha' XR sees DJS again. Why else would XR go thousands of miles to supply the Tang army? I have a nauseating feeling that LK will escape.

Good one jojo! ;D You're right, they are getting as crazy as Li Kaigu. How many times have we seen miracles where someone, usually DJY, has been at death's door but recover in a relatively short time? Heuk Sudol was fine with that sword stuck in his back but dies so easily when he is executed. I still can't understand why none of his men yelled for him to look out before he got stabbed in the back. Geumlan I can see dying with all those arrows shot in her back but were these deaths really necessary? I wonder if Biwu is next. There could be people still loyal to LK, but why would they be unless they're crazy too. Tang, Shin Hong and Kaigu were responsible no matter how you look at it for the fall of Khitan. LK telling Chulin that everything he did was for her is ridiculous. Everything he did wasn't for her but for himself. He was obsessed with destroying DJY and the Goguryeons out of jealousy and bitterness. I'd like to know when or if Li Kaigu, Sir Shin and Li Wen get what they deserve. We hate them already so they didn't have to kill Sudol and Geumlan. I have a feeling we haven't seen the end of the good guys dying. I hated the way the writers set us up thinking there was going to be a confrontation and all we got was a tea party. I never thought of that jojo. I figured Xue wanted to make sure he got some recognition for bringing down DJY and Goguryeo. You may be right and XR and DJS will meet again. Oh no, that means DJS will fight XR, be executed by him or by some slim chance be rescued. It doesn't look good.

EPISODE #129 I hope someone doesn't shoot an arrow into DJS's back after they get Chulin. Li Kaigu, Li Wen or Shin Hong aren't honorable, so who knows what they'd do. I just have a bad feeling they will do something under handed. Hopefully not. I wouldn't have sent Mimosa into the Tang camp either. Luckily things turned out OK.. If they had kept Mimosa as a hostage, they would've been up the creek without a paddle. He comes up with all the brilliant plans and strategies. Hopefully Geom can get the Mohe tribes to send re-enforcements or they're sunk. The scene with Geumlan and Mimosa was very touching. They were very close and had been together for a long time.

EPISODE #130 I can't believe what DJS did!!! I know his reasoning behind it, but I didn't agree with it all. It seems the writers just wanted to kill off another one of the good guys. Can you believe Chulin? She never stopped loving Li Kaigu even after he tried to kill Geom? "Let's go somewhere far away from here and lead a happy, quiet life together?" What is she thinking? It was great that Geom convinced the Mohi tribes to help them. What's going to happen to LK, XR, LW and SH? After bumping off so many good characters, they better give us some satisfaction.

I was also shocked at what DJS did. I wonder if he still would have done it if he had known the Mohe tribes were coming to help. But DJS was right, it did rev up DJY's army. (I couldn't watch when DJS was being attacked. ) I think Chulin is cracking up. "I hated you but I still loved you." Yeah, right! Then why wouldn't she let LK help her up when she stumbled? Even if LK agreed to Chulin's request to live a quiet life, I don't think he would be able to do it. He wouldn't be able to let go of all his obesessions. She mentioned to DJY and Sukyoung that this was all her fault. Did she mean going as far back as letting LK raise Geom as his son? Yea, what is up with all the bad guys being alive?!?!?! tsk tsk tsk I wish LK would grant Sir Shin's final request and kill him first! Wouldn't that be the ultimate irony!

Oh my gosh, I was yelling "Do it!!!" when SH said that. I'm sure he knew LK wouldn't do it though. I couldn't watch DJS being brutally killed either. I kept peeking. Well you got to see Kaigu's father and what happened in the past. He was tricked by Shin Hong to open the gates for the Tang army. When he and DJS were fighting, he turned his sword in the opposite direction. That's the same thing DJS did when he was fighting LK.

I was peeking at the fight too, but didn't see DJS turn his sword. I wonder if LK will ever learn the whole truth. PS: I wanted to mention that I also found the scene with Mimosa talking to Geumlan touching. It was sad to learn that he held back in telling her how he felt about her being like family to him. I imagine she felt the same way about him too. - - - - - - - - - The writers are pulling out all the stops now. Should be a wild ride.

I agree jojo. I'm sure she knew how he felt but it would have been nice if he told her. She would have loved to hear him say it.
I can't see Shin Hong telling Li Kaigu the truth now after all those years of lying. That's how he manipulated LK. He was a peasant and he became more by latching on to different people over time. Slime ball.

Episode 131 Egads: what a pity party!! LW: We lost all the troups; kill me. XR: I’m a failure; I should have died years ago. And then later on again with SH and LK in the cave. I nearly gagged on this one. SH says, I’m the one who should ask for forgivenss, I was thinking: “Yeah! For all the lies you told LK!!!!” How sickening. But finally Shin Hong has the table turned on him as is tricked into giving away his master’s location. Great! A fitting tribute before he dies. What in the world is with Chulin? What about the Khitan people?! Before she believed that Khitan could be resurrected, and now she’s completely forgotten. I’m totally baffled that she wants to poison herself. Tinks, I noticed that phrase again. SH: there is no time; we must leave now!! Finally DJY and LK face off. Zowie!

jojo, I missed the first couple of minutes. I tuned in right when DJY said something about Li Wen running away. I didn't feel sorry for either one of them, LK or SH. Shin Hong looked more evil than I've ever seen him before. Yes, how appropriate for Shin Hong to be tricked before he died and to know they found Kaigu because of him. DJY said tie him to a stake but they didn't. I wonder why? He got off too easy for all the evil he had done, not that I wanted to see torture or more blood. I can't believe Chulin either. She cares more about Li Kaigu than her own son or her people? How does she think Geom is going to feel. That's a selfish thing to do to her son leaving him without both parents. Geom will feel worse with her death, you can tell how much he cares for his mother. It's crazy and doesn't make sense. They've been saying "there is no time" a lot lately. hehe I guess we can guess who will win this battle.

EP 132 As we expected, & according to history, DJY goes on to found Balhae, and thus LK has to go. Interesting that LK tells DJY to build a stronger and more magnificent state than Tang or Gorguryeo. Must have been a little piece of goodness still alive within him. If only he had a different tactician. I wonder if Chulin would have killed herself if Geom had shown up earlier? Her decision still baffles me. I like how Mim refuses to accept an official post: still an advisor but without all the paperwork. Good move. I wish I had a job like that! Amazingly elaborate dress for DJY and Sukyoung as they ascend the thrones but it was really weird seeing DJY dressed up, especially the earrings! Loved the thrones - looked very comfy. Only two more episodes to go: wrap up with the Turks, the fate of XR and HP, and the final battle between LW and Geom. I figure if Geom survives he will eventually have to leave DJY due to the turmoil it is causing in the court, with Geom being half Khitan.... I feel sorry for Geom- lost his parents, can't acknowledge DJY as his father, and no place to call home.
