Where did he hide it? At first I thought that he gave it to the chief physician after he left the King's chambers but then I figured that a man in his position wouldn't hand it to a lowly servant. Is it under the King's mattress? Can you picture Li Kaigu tearing up the chamber while ole Tweety is laying there? That Queen is a fox! A lonely flower in the snow, indeed! Lucretia Borgia! ;D

He probably hid it in Mimosa's hat! ;D
I love Empress Wu. I don't want to see her deposed. She's too clever, and I like seeing all the men cowtow to her. She's got that great laugh, with a hundred of the whitest teeth I've ever seen. They do a perfect job with her make up and costuming too. How 'bout those eyebrows??
She saw through the deposed Prince's schemes right away. She'll find that will too with Li Kaigu's help, and the "butterfly on her hand" reference was almost poetic.

I just read the book, Empress by Shana Sa.
It is a novel but does offer some insights to the 'real' life of the empress and describes the 'cutting her out of the will' business. There is a reference to the 'feather duster' as well on page 168 of the paperback version.
Interesting book.

What is it for?

It was a ceremonial long handled fan made of special feathers. Special people carried them in a parade. When I read it, I just though, it must be the featherduster.
I need to go back now and see how what else I read is featured in our drama.

BD, maybe the will is hidden in the bandage that "Tweety" has taken to wearing 'round his head! ;D Or maybe it's hidden in his teddy... Picture Li Kaigu doing anything "as delicately as a butterfly landing on my hand"---"delicate" my foot! He's already making a ruckus with the Prime Minister! (but then maybe that's considered "delicate" for him...)
