Anyone else wondering how Geom is 5 or 6 years old already? I guess DJ and his men were away at the prison and Mt. Guifu a lot longer than I thought. I have a hard time telling how much time passes during these episodes. But if days or weeks are going by instead of a day at a time, it would help explain why everybody knows what everybody else is doing almost before whoever's doing it is done explaining what they're doing. (I know, easy for me to say…) But back to Geom… isn't the casting perfect as a DJY "mini me? I wonder how much longer before Li Kaigu figures out who the real daddy is. Then we'll see some sneering and eye popping for sure.

I wonder how much longer before Li Kaigu figures out who the real daddy is. Then we'll see some sneering and eye popping for sure. I'm under the impression that he KNOWS that DJY is the father! In earlier episodes didn't he just about beg to bring up the kid as his own? He was never with Chulin, if you know what I mean. Well, maybe in his dreams!

Li Kaigu knew that DJY was the father before he married Chulin. Chulin married him knowing that if the Khitan tribe found out that DJY was the father they would kill the baby. Li Kaigu used this as his opportunity to marry Chulin who he has always loved.

Yes, you're both right! (How quickly I forget these things…) Maybe I should have said how long before everyone *else* (Shin Hong, Khan, etc) starts to ask questions. Probably never, but it would be juicy, especially if Sukyeong starts to wonder as well. Did you see Gulsabiwu's reaction?

Geom is a doll, alright. Such a cute little guy---I thought it was so adorable when he was marching up and down the courtyard with a wooden "sword" in his little hands ("Ya! Ya! Ya!"). And asking if he looked like his daddy, aww---he has no idea how much he looks like his daddy.
Didn't Sukyeong figure out way back that Geom was DJY's child? Or not? It seems so long ago.......

Yes, he is. And the later older Geom looks like a young Phareoh (how you spell? You know, the Eyptian prince?). Looking at the young and older Geom, I wonder why people don't realise that he's too cute to be Li Kiagu's son! And thank goodness, he does not lip curl. haha!

And the scene in tonight's episode where he speaks to Jungsang is priceless. You would think that Junsang would see his son in Geom's face. . .rather poignant that he's speaking to his own grandson and doesn't know it.

Zorro, it's all explained by relativity. Geom is a little kid who stays in one place. Everybody else on the show is always running frantically from one problem to the next. So their clocks tick more slowly than his does and he ages faster. That's why Einstein called it relativity--because some relatives age faster than others. You see?
Seriously, though, you're absolutely right. Yes he's a cute kid, but come on. (As soon as I saw him it reminded me of that famous British horror movie "Village of the Damned" where the scary little kids grow about ten times faster than they're supposed to.) It looks like they may have decided to bring him into the storyline more, but to just age him instantly like that, it shows very little respect for the viewers.
The show is taking more of these far-fetched turns lately and it's probably because of the decision to lengthen it, which apparently was made during the series and not before. If they had left it at 100 episodes we'd have the end in sight by now and I think it would all be reaching a very satisfying conclusion. Instead it seems like they're just reaching for ways to fill extra episodes at this point. There are still fun scenes in these episodes but it's getting kind of frustrating.

Ajk, I had to LOL at your comments. My 4 oldest kids are 6 years apart. When they would ask me how old I was, I kind of fudged on the years. They wanted to know why they got older faster. I told them it was simply because there were 4 of them, and I only had a birthday after them, every 4 years. May I add that they were very very young. They're all college grads and quite a bit smarter now.
