What an interesting twist! It was great watching the two great lions battle it out together and when Jungsang's wooden sword hit the dirt I KNEW he let it go. Xue was like a child, he was so pleased. ;D And even though Jungsang (is that the spelling?) put on a good show, Xue wasn't fooled. He was his old scheming self as soon as he was out of view. What a chess game!

Either of these two real warriors could take Li Wen with one hand - sure wish they would. DJY will eventually get him but it would serve him right if one of the elder warriors was who dealt him the death blow! I'd love to see that! ;D

DJS and Xue Rengui were like two, old bulls when they were battling. It was really neat to watch . I was surprised at first when DJS's "stick" hit the ground. Then I realized that he'd let it go. But of course---there is no way he'd lose so easily to Xue. It's like Xue said---DJS is his only equal. I think DJS lost the battle on purpose so that Xue might think him less of a threat, thus giving him a greater chance of escape. Also, he really buttered up Xue before the battle. Like you said, BD...Xue was as pleased as a little child who was just given a Hershey's chocolate bar ;D!! Then the whole, innocent outlook dropped like a mask---he knew all along that DJS wasn't going all out!

i was disappointed that DJS's defeat wasn't real. It's refreshing to see our heroes not be perfect once in a while (like Jackie Chan in his movies). However, the scenario we got was the next best thing. You can see the mutual respect they have for each other, at the same time, trying to outthink the other. It's also a great parallel with the Mimosa-Shin Hong face off. By the way, it was interetsing seeing the camerawork for the fight...the psuedo-Matrix type of action. It really fit the fight. Just one thing -- DJS said his hands were soft...but if you look closely each episode, it's seems Lee Duk-hwa's hands are as soft as can be i'll try to write a separate thread on how great this episode is...

JP, I agree with noticing the new camera work. I'm seeing more of this style in the fight scenes.
