Hi, just wanted to let the Historical drama fans in New York and New Jersey know that the first ep was shown lastnight. Now i don't really know at what time it started, but i'm guessing 8:58pm (?) because it was over by 9:58pm. So maybe tonight ep #2 will be shown.
By the way it was shown with subtitles.
Well thats all i wanted to say, Have fun watching this great historical drama. Take care

thanks for the news choi.
this answers my question i asked in another thread.
in the past wmbc has aired the historical dramas on saturday and sunday nights at approximately 9pm each night. they usually do an abbreviated news broadcast first, of varying lengths, so the drama starts at different times.
i tune in at 9pm, and start taping at 9pm, because you can never be sure when it will actually start.
please note that this has been what they have done in the past and i cannot say with certainty that this will be what they do now.
I tape these shows to view later and I've noticed that they are often an hour rather than 50 minutes, and a few have even gone over an hour. So if you tape them, be sure to set for at least 1 hr 5 min, or you may miss an exciting ending.
It’s so great to once again see familiar names like IAPD3000, luvarchfiend, and Eowyn on these boards again. And newer folks like choi and mugwump, too.
It’s tough, I’m sure, for you folks to participate when you’re lagging so far behind Chicago (my satellite broadcast is lagging a little, too - making discussion on my part difficult as well) but I hope you all let us know your thoughts as we go along.
I agree with JP that “Dae Jo Young” starts out strong, gets in the doldrums for a while, and then picks up again later on. I didn’t really come to enjoy this one until about episode #50 myself. But, even when it’s at its worst, DJY is still worth hanging in there, even if only to have fun watching the former “Archfiend” devouring “steamed buns” as he waves his “feather duster” around.
Don’t worry; you’ll know what I’m talking about soon enough. ;D
Mmmm, steamed buns, like the kind at the China buffet?! I once had these really good steamed buns at the China buffet - called rose bean paste. They were white and doughy and delicious. I look forward then to seeing them on the show!
I am a little sad not to have NY/NJ programming running alongside Chicago's.
Is your satellite just a few episodes behind Chicago, Mikey?
I thought we were the only ones behind Chicago watching this drama(here in Pa,) Doesn't N.J. get the PBS station WYBE ? That is the only channel I can watch Korean dramas on. I agree with JP Paulus, it is rather slow for awhile, but last Friday night I watched ep. 32 and thought it was the best ep. so far. It had some unexpected twists and some very humorous scenes. Mikey is only a few episodes behind Chicago which is a little surprising. I know what you feel like because you want to discuss the show and unless you want to know everything ahead of time, you have to be careful what you read here. Also, WYBE will rerun the daily dramas that come on at night about a year later in the morning, BUT never the historical dramas(which I would love to see a second time).

hey eowyn and mikey. been a long time.
i am soooo thrilled to be able to watch this show now. i only missed the first episode, which i ordered on dvd. (you can order each individual episode).
and like eowyn, i am sad that the chicago folks are so far ahead. it makes discussing difficult.
jp noted that show dragged somewhat, but i am not finding that to be the case at all. perhaps i am just too happy to be able to see this historical k-drama.
and mikey, being able to watch the archfiend do anything is one of my greatest pleasures (well tv viewing pleasures ). and the first time he did his little chi-chi-chi (it is hard to describe) i was in k-drama heaven.
luvarchfiend...some of our message threads have episode numbers in the titl (see page 5, for sure), so please fel free to comment on those as appropriate, or others...just mention which ep # you are up to in the title...
i'm going to enforce spoilers for Chicago, but can't make promises of others -- sorry but i'll try!
