I missed Tuesday's episode because I was in the yard, covering young bushes with purple tulle to keep the cicadas from killing them. I stupidly thought that I had taped the episode, only to find out that DJY is NOT repeated the following day at 1 pm like YSS and Jini used to be. Can ANYONE fill me in? And by the way, when IS the repeat shown?

Actually, it is shown the next day (if not, i wouldn't be able to catch it, with 24 & Heroes on Mondays)....it starts somewhere between 1:03 PM and 1:10 pm, and ends between 2:05 and 2:15 or so...It's on Tuesdays & Wednesdays Check your tape...i forget when exactly it started, but they definitely showed it...

The repeat is shown at about 1:05 give or take a few minutes.
It's a shame you missed it, especially the beginning when DJ took Sa Bagu's legs out from under him in a one on one sword fight to the death. As the mortally wounded Bagu begged DJ to kill him so he could die a warrior's death with dignity, Dae responded by telling him that his crimes against his people were too big for DJ to punish him alone.
The townspeople who had assembled to watch the duel immediately took up their sticks and clubs and beat Sa to a lifeless pulp.
That was the best part. The bad news is now everyone knows DJ is alive and his surprise element is gone. That and Sudol's rogue failed mission to kill Sung Hong that backfired into several of DJ's men being captured and tortured to try and obtain DJ' whereabouts.
Li Kaigu has been summoned back to kill DJ (again) by Xue Rengui, right after he promised Chulin he would never leave her and "their" baby, (that he named "Sword" by the way).
Lot's of other stuff went on that I don't remember right now that involved strategies and suspicions. The gisaeng that's Mimosa's closest ally is proving to be most valuable as Xue seems smitten with her.
Oh yeah, DJ's dad is still asking if DJ will marry Sukyoung to keep the royal bloodline going. DJ is still declining.

zorro! you registered! yay. Thanks for the recap. My reasons for not viewing DJY weren't as demanding as Cicadas though. ^^

BD--If for whatever reason teacher's offer doesn't work out, post something here by Monday afternoon and I'll fill in everything else beyond what's here already. It sounds like you're covered, so I won't type it all out unless you need it.
P.S. Zorro! Where you been. It's a shame the spammer messed things up as far as guest posting, but very glad to see you back again. Weren't you hoping for a longer fight between SB and DJY? For a big tough military goon SB sure went down fast. They really should have sent off a major character like him with a more substantial scene.

For a big tough military goon SB sure went down fast. They really should have sent off a major character like him with a more substantial scene. To me, he was just a blowhard bully who had his henchmen attack first and then would take the credit by delivering the final blow. That's the "only" reason "he" was able to kill Yang Manchun. Most cowardly in my opinion. Even in this duel he ordered his goons to kill DJ as he just watched. When that didn't work, he was forced to put up or shut up. The fact that Dae was able to overpower him so easily just re enforced to me how Sa was all bark and no bite. Sure he could push the townsfolk, especially the defenseless women around, but when it came to someone his own size… not. PS As far as the spammer goes, I was shocked to see that on this board. I reported it, and within minutes Soju and JP were online investigating. Like you said, a shame, but I was also dealing (still am) with a family emergency which left little time or interest for posting. Where's Mimosa when I need him??

Wow, zorro, hope everything works out well with the family thing.
You're right, he was a bully and certainly much better at pushing around women and old people than at fighting for himself. I guess I just kind of expected a more substantial scene one way or another; maybe he'd have fought dirty or talked more trash. For such a major character I'd have thought they'd have made a more substantial scene out of his demise. But it was just a couple of strokes, a few stones and that was it.
Not that I'll miss him, of course!

sab100, I just now sent you a private message (Sunday evening) with a synopsis of everything I could remember about the last two episodes. I didn't want to post it publicly just now because it might still be considered a spoiler for anyone who's a week or two behind the Chicago viewing schedule.
It will get you caught up, at least with the important stuff. Hope it helps.
