Why do I have the feeling that something very wrong will happen in that ravine? The Shilla general cannot be trusted even though Dae Jo Young's father will be a part of that force. Shilla's general has a nasty neck scar, thanks to DJY. He certainly has a good reason to turn on him. It's killing two birds with one stone and perhaps in his eyes, only Shilla will be left standing! With friends like that who needs enemies? The idea that Chulin would be privy to the military strategy strains credulity. Even if DJY trusted her, why would the rest of the military leadership allow it? Even Dae's new blood brothers would not have wanted her to know anything. Too unbelievable for me.

That's what I'm wondering! And this a perfectly objective view seeing as to how much I dislike the character of Chulin, but she's still a Khitan no matter what. For all they could know, she could be spying on them! One would hope that DJY's personal feelings wouldn't impede him in his duties as Minister of Military Affairs or what not. She's trusted by him, as you pointed out, but why does everyone else have to follow? I certainly would've thought that Gulsabiwu would've said something about this-- but he's made a 360.

Gulsabiwu Did ask DJY if he was out of his mind last night, but it's a little too late!

That Shilla general already acted against DJY and his own king. He stopped DJY's escape after being commanded to help him. Now he's trustworthy? I don't think so.
Why should he be the one in such a pivotal position? DJY's father would be better there. Let the Shilla general do something that is in his interest so he wants to do it.
I agree, Bungalow Dweller, I'll be afraid to watch next week.

DJ's father is going to be at the Shilla general's side at the battle for the exact reason that none of them trust him. Bae, you mean a 180? 360 brings him right back to where he started.

Well, with DJS keeping an eye on the Shill G, he wouldn't do anything too stupid would he? That's exactly what I meant, zorro. 180.... Thanks for the correction.

Well, with DJS keeping an eye on the Shill G, he wouldn't do anything too stupid would he? If the Shilla general is smart, he won't do anything; but then I don't know. Remember how he got up and left in the middle of the meeting with the other generals? That was very unusual--and the way it happened makes it look too suspicous...

So Kim Chan has shown what an evil creature he really is. Nursing a grudge against DJY he determines to wipe out DJY's brigade of men in the ravine. With intent, he ignores the elder Dae, striking him down with a sword and proceeds to slaughter his comrades in arms.
And then he Celebrates! This man is bold.
Too bad for him---he DIDN'T know about that imperial energy. ;D He got what was coming to him in spades! Haaahahaahaaahhaaha.

Kim Chan was utterly disgusting. What more is there to say? He's dead now, thanks to DJY.
However, there is one thing I must say. What was the point of DJY yelling in Kim Chan's ear after he had killed him? It was almost comical...

Okay, I can understand that. I had figured it was because of his great rage, but I guess I didn't really get it.

We may see his character change in future episodes.

He might just change, but for good or for bad? For one thing, he's going to be a lot tougher after this. He'll never forget the hell that went on in that ravine.
