His old student or something, why did he suddenly pop up? It's a little too obvious. Pungu better wise-up, soon, otherwise, Ok-geum's foreshadowing words might catch up to him.

Oh, yes, he's being so dense. That famous singer just wanted him to go away-there wasn't any greeting or smile, was there? I get nervous for him when he's working on the finances for his cd. He's being scammed, I'm sure. He didn't seem to do any research about the manager. Wonder who the other guy is? There always seems to be an "enabler" when someone gets scammed in these dramas. Did you watch "My Rosy Life"/ "War of the Roses"? When the heroine got scammed in that milk deal, it was through someone she considered a friend who came to her with this plan to have Soonie make money by buying someone else's milk delivery route.

And also (in MRL) the husband got scammed for $10,000 buying the water that was supposed to cure her cancer.

Oh, right. Which brings up the question I always seem to be asking myself, "Where do these people get these large sums of money?" Well, I know Soonie's husband didn't really have the money, but, like, ordinary people always seem to have the odd $10,000 or so to spend.

Are they talking about US$ or K-Won? Even at the exchange rate that's been holding around 930-940 W to Dollar - it's still a lot of money. The rents are high too -- So is the $1800 Mrs told her daughter that she paid the housekeeper a good salary??? Sorry, I'm no math whiz LOL -- Lucy you are so right - they throw those huge sums around like confetti LOL ... $50,000 in debt for Hyeseuk and Gramps was going to pay it off. .. LOL .. Maybe we're just too Western-thinking here when it comes to money? But one still needs won to buy bread - East or West - right? ;D

Punggu said he had $40,000.00 to invest in his album, but didn't offer any of it to Hyesuk.
$1800. a month is a little over 20k per year, and whenever they talk about rent, it's always "$50,000" so I don't get it either.
Sinhyeong must be making a ton at her office job to afford a nicer apartment than Yunji's house. The Hong house is 4 bedrooms… how much would that go for?

Korean rent works a little different than in America.
The renter pays a large sum to the owner (called 'key money') up front, and then a nominal rent monthly. The owner would invest the 'key money' somewhere, and at the end of the lease, he returns the key money to the tennant, keeping whatever profit he made from the investment.

They're finally getting married and poor Gramps has got diarrhea. But Eomji looked very pretty in her hanbok. But the way she's already ordering Okgeum already tells me she's going to be one nasty mother-in-law. Poor Okgeum. She should've just stood her ground instead of giving her approval for the wedding.

Hope Okgeum doesn't really shave her head and go to the temple- she'd miss being in the middle of things. Does she know her daughter has a boyfriend? There could be one more surprise for the poor woman. Wonder who will get married first? That will be the ice breaker for the second wedding. (Grandpa said he would marry off Gukwa, didn't he?) Or maybe it will be a double wedding?

Okgeum makes me crazy. She's always holding her head ... as if there's anything IN her head. I like here character les and less with each episode. Grandpa Rules!

I felt bad for her at the beginning of the serie but now she's just annoying. She just doesn't seem to like anybody (Hyesuk, Yunjeong, and I can already tell, Morning Glory). I mean Eomji/Hyesuk isn't an angel herself, but Okgeum's already agreed to the marriage and all, what's the point of complaining now. Yes it sucks how Hyesuk treats her, but it's not like she's treating Hyesuk any nicer either.

Hyesuk hasn't earned being served by Okgeum-I wish Grandpa could see that. Or understand that she was a brat when OG was the maid, and OG shouldn't have to wait on her now. It does look like the women settle what happens in the kitchen, tho. If they split the work, it would be more fair, IMO. Now, who feels like buttering up Hyesuk? Flatter her, then maybe she'd feel ashamed of being lazy. It could happen, right?

I can see the two teaming up to try and stop Punguu from getting together with Morning Glory, if that's going to be in the show...It's just a guess.

I agree with Ginny. Hyesuk is full of herself and her nominal position as wife of the family patriarch. She treats Okgeum like she's still her maid. Okgeum is the one who runs the family and makes everything work. Grandpa is too senile or lovesick to see Hyesuk's faults. I wish Okgeum's husband would defend his wife but he can't speak up against his father.

Okgeum deserves every bit of ill-treatment, I hate that woman to pieces. Afterall, she broke up the greatest couple that could have been; I really loved Gukwa and Uy-geong together.
