I'd like to echo your request! We lost the capability to view the series after the episode where the firm's vice-president(?) comes short of revealing his feelings for Gukwa, also in this episode, he and his fiancee were to meet with their decorator (boy, is she pushy!).
My wife and I would really like to have the dvd set. I've looked over the KBS site, that of koa, and others but haven't seen a single dvd offer. With this series so popular, I'm a bi surprised.
Please keep looking. I will too. Will report if I find the dvds..

I have never seen a Daily Drama released commercially. However, you can borrow it from the (Philly) Korean Drama Group's Video Club.

In Chicago, there were "black outs." This episode- he did not go to Singapore. How can we convince Channel 41 going to to replay/rerun that episode. This is frustratiing!!!!!

As I understand it (I'm not a member, at least, not yet ) the Philly video club selections don't become available until the series actually wraps up. So, since Philly is only a week or two ahead of Chicago, the DVD or VHS set of "Pure in Heart" won't be available from them for a while yet.

Skye, have you already received the DVD? Are the English subtitles good? I have had a lot of trouble with DVD's I bought from ebay, sometimes the subtitles are so bad they are incomprehensible. I have never heard of cinemashops and was just wondering about the quality of their product.

If you read the description for PIH (or Heart of Nineteen as they call it) you will see several "warning" signs.....
First, despite the fact that they initially list it as a DVD, the description lists it as a CD. It is most probably a VCD. The video quality on a VCD can vary depending on how many episodes they try to cram onto it and what type of compression software they use. 3 episodes - about 1 1/2 hours worth - is not too awfully bad. It will look like a VHS copy (if they did it right).
Second, they are rating the English subtitles as "average".
Third they are offering Chinese subtitles. This is usually a dead give away that this is a Chinese pirate copy. The English subs on those things are typically iffy.
Fourth, they are located in Malayasia. There are a lot of pirated copies coming from there.
Just so people know, KBS never releases the longer dramas on DVD. If I am not mistaken, the longest one they ever released was IYSS and that was something very out of the ordinary.
Lastly, I have mentioned this before and I will mention again. We have a video lending library as part of our site. (www.koreandramas.net) We currently have PIH up to episode 109 on DVD with excellent English subs. (A member records the show directly to DVD for us). Officially the VC (Video Club) cannot condone copying of its materials. However, just like books in a library, we cannot control what users do with the materials once they receive them.

They episodes are available as soon as I receive the DVD. The person who records them for us puts 10 episodes on a disk. Tonight we will see Episode 119, so this person will finalize the disk with episodes 110 thru 119 on it tonight and pop it into the mail for me sometime tomorrow. With any luck, these episodes will be available to borrow this Saturday. (I go to the post office every Saturday to mail selections off to members). ashoperpureinheart - if you joined our site, log in and scroll down on the front page. You will find a forum called Video Club. There are instructions there on what to do to join the club. If you run into problems - just send me a message. Note: You must be a member to view this forum. You must be a member of the website to join the Video Club. Contrary to rumor, there are no hidden fees. 18 months of membership is $30. No additional funds are required for that time beyond the cost you incur mailing the items back to me.

I have received the DVD from the ebay seller, the quality is good as are the subtitles (there are always some grammar errors, but I make errors in grammer too). The order from cinemashops (Hong Kong) has not been received, I'm hopeful this will be OK. I've bought several Korean movies from Hong Kong and was very happy with subs.

Just in case anybody's doing any shopping around--I ordered from DDD House, which is a pretty reputable Hong Kong dealer. (My other HK sources--Yesasia and Playasia--don't have it.) But I'm thinking what I got is a bootleg, though one somebody put a lot of effort into making it look like it wasn't a bootleg--it has a UPC, and the DVD symbol, and a pretty high quality slipcase. Plus all the discs have an official-looking KBS Media disclaimer, and the video quality is pretty good all-told, considering there's 16 to 20 episodes to disc. But! It's only the first 100 episodes. And the subtitles are atrocious--I mean, they look like Babelfish auto-translations. I don't think a human being was involved. It's good for me since I only started watching around episode 95 or so (whenever Gramps and Eomji got married) and I don't need too much quality subtitling to figure out what's going on, but this is probably not the best way to own Hearts of Nineteen.
