Okgeum... never NEVER liked her character. All she does is snoop in everyone's business ... she hasn't been pleasant from day one. Her grown son is working and paying for his place in the family. He's ... now don't be shocked here ... he's a grown man - even thought he appears very boyish. he's kind and thoughtful and hard working... he's responsible and thinks things through ... he surely takes after his father because his mother is one huge pain to everyone

Yonho's mom was the first Mean Drama Mom I'd encountered, and I remember her screaming at Yonho and hitting her, and then beating the man she loved, Tae-woong (the son of our Insect Woman ). In that drama, Tae-woong's mom's husband was played by the same man who's her husband here. By the way, since I'm running on and on in this undisciplined fashion, let me throw in here that I think his hairstyle in this drama is the best I've seen. He doesn't have as much of a helmet-head as he usually sports.
The other one I believe is just as bad as Taeja's mom (Chill Sisters) She's awful and mean towards her daughter in law. Yun Mi Jia I think is the actress's name. She was a B in another MBC drama. She played a doctor's mom.
note from Lucy: I fixed your quote tags, luvsterriers.
Lucy, at the risk of getting the finger wagged at me, I'll try to keep my recollections short! See if this triggers your memory... Ok, remember Chae Rim's character, Yon-ho? She had a younger girl cousin? They lived in the same gated property. Her cousin started sneaking out with Yon-ho's fiance's younger brother Tae-man. Remember how Tae-man was trying to be all hard-core and make quick money regardless if it was dirty money because his family was poor - something to do with a club or something? And the younger girl cousin was trying to help him out and get him to stop trying to be a thug? Well, the girl cousin's mom was "Insect Woman," Yun Yeo Jeong...so that would make her Yon-ho's aunt (through marriage b/c on Koreawiz's page, her husband's last/family name is the same as Yon-ho's father's, Sung) Six degrees of Yun Yeo Jeong solved, we can hopefully agree and put her back at the site of Pure 19, where she is Yunjeong's mom - and the wife of the same man who played her husband in Green Prairie, as you remembered correctly, for $200 Alex (as in Trebek)!
And yes, that Yon-ho's mom was scarier than a ghost on Halloween! Boo!
Hi, Jiminy. No finger wagging here! You're right, I confused Insect Woman with the other actress who always plays moms. I think it's Kim Ja Ok. I forgot there were 3 families, not 2. And I looked on Koreanwiz to refresh my memory just now (http://www.koreanwiz.org/at/drama-green.html), and learned that Tae-woong and Tae-man had a half-brother, Tae-yang. I can't draw up any kind of a memory of him. Probably he was just a little kid.
Lucy, I was doing some packing, trying to condense my old collection of VHS, and guess what?! came across an old tape with a few episodes of Yellow Handkerchief and On the Green Prairie!! I could've cried! Yes, the half-brother was forgettable! AND I saw what you meant about the husband's (in Green Pr & Pure 19) hairstyle!!LOL! He looked so much older and, dare I say, common in Green Prairie than he has in any other drama. Maybe it's b/c he's been playing guys with money in dramas since Green P.
Gosh, Jiminy, what a coincidence! You know, I think I have the final episode of Green Prairie somewhere on tape, too. I'll have to dig it out and take a trip down memory lane myself.
