I bet she'd learn quickly enough if anyone actually *trained* her. What instruction did she get, except, here are the kinds of tea he likes. They are expecting too much, but that's the fun of it, I suppose.
Very true, Ginny. She doesn't know anything about the field in which she was thrusted and they just expected her to pick up right away. But it looks like she's getting better. She IS an honor student after all, isn't she?
If you add up all the strikes against Gukwha: she's only 19, she's from Yanbian, she left all the people she knew, lost her fiance, had to find housing and a job, etc., etc., I'm thinking I'd probably not be able to leave a small corner of a room somewhere! I remember opening a checking account felt daunting to me at 17!

Good point, Teresa! She seems so bouncy most of the time, I've forgotten her travails. She gets her feelings hurt or looks offended after Iceman scolds her or insults her, then recovers her cheerful disposition. It must be hard not to poison his coffee.

OMG--I laughed so much when she started crying in yesterday's episode. And when Iceman asks her why she's like "I'll do it with all the honor of Helong High" or something to that effect. Now that's school spirit.
Grandparents from WML: "Are my words dog's nose to you?"
I guess it isn't that hard to become an honor student at Helong High is it? For all her enthusiasm and me wanting to cheer for her to do a good job, she still seems to be out to lunch most of the time. Maybe the writers see where this is going, but for me, it seems she's out of a job soon if this keeps up.
I had high hopes for her when she interpreted for Mean Boss. Now she's slip sliding again. As soon as she told the taxi driver not to wait, I *knew* there was trouble with a capital T. I hope she can explain her way out of this one.

Of course, Iceman should have told her that he was in a hurry and she shouldn't dawdle. The handful of cash made her eyes bug out. The way he increases her debt daily for her language errors has made her need money all the more. He just expected obedience without understanding. Fooey on him.
Also, messenger bags are looking really good now, keep all your stuff without even having to think about it.
Well, I don't see how Yunhu can even be connected to her losing those documents in the least. I mean, if he told her to get back in the same cab, and even emphasized the importance of those documents, she should've done just what he told her to. Who told her to get on the subway? He gave her specific instructions that she was to follow. It wasn't that hard. Go in cab, come back in cab.
Yes, that was a pretty idiotic mistake. I was liking her cheerfulness and resilience in spite of all the stuff that happened to her, but to try to bounce back from losing important, confidential documents--after he TOLD you how important they were--by washing your boss's car is ridiculous. This is probably a life lesson she needed to learn.
I don't really get what we are supposed to think about how Ugyeong feels about Gukhwa. He seems to be getting sweet on her, but since he can't stand the rich girl, she's obviously the one he's supposed to end up with.
At this stage, Gukhwa is just a baby, and I can't imagine Yunhu or whatever-his-name-is falling for her, either.

Yeah I agree with you, he gave her pretty idiot proof instructions and she still didn't follow the directions right. If I were her, even if I would have taken the subway, I would have kept staring at my hand to make sure that the documents were with me at all time.
I hope they start speeding up, I don't know how much more of these "she's so innocent" antics I can take before I start to get tired of her. I mean, yeah, she's from the countryside, but come one, a person has to have COMMON SENSE!

Like some of you, I'm getting somewhat weary of the smile's and the reference to her honor achievement. The girl has no experience in having such a responsible position. Selling eggs.. ok, one can be creative/aggessive,apprecciative... she calls all the shots in the egg market.
However, leaving those strategic documents is certainly grounds for dismissal ... and how did she even get the job? No interviews, no testing, nothing... from eggs to executive assistant. Better she stick with eggs.
I'm really liking this drama for all the quirky characters. Grandpa cracks me up. Like the fiance's attitude... he's perfect for pretty-spoiled girl.
And the little white dog that actually walks around is an added PLUS ;D
