Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the gangster also the same actor that played the son on that drama with 700+ episodes? (The Jujube Tree or something like that). No, that's not him. So, is the gangster Minister Ryu? (Yi Sun-shin's best friend and the King's favorite confidante). Yeah, it's him.

Thanks, knov1.
I've enjoyed what I've seen so far, although it is a bit confusing. And I ran a tape for too long and cut off the part where we find out how the girl in the wheelchair got there, and why Mr Gangster thinks it's his fault. I am finding it fascinating, but the (nonwheelchair) girl should really quit him, he's too messed up. I've been impressed with the beating scenes, how they hold conversations outside as though it's just machine noises we hear in the background. It really illustrates the moral bankruptcy of the characters. This is just their job. Pitiful.
Oh, yeah--someone was talking about registering marriages awhile ago, and I thought you had to be married to do it, but apparently (if this drama is any indication) you don't. However, it also seems you can be married without being registered--just then you have no legal rights. How odd.
