She is my favorite character of this show. I hope they give us more details about theier father soon; I'm interested to find why she's had such a hard life.
Was the woman who ran off with her money some sort of low-end investment broker or something? We see so much of this sort of private financial business on these shows, especially private money lenders who employ thugs to ensure payback.

i haven't seen enough of the show to have a favorite yet, but this woman is quite interesting.
her face projects her despair and a difficult life. i, too, am interested in learning what is behind this apparent sadness and suffering.

well soju, without saying too much, your pick of this woman as your favorite character was a good one. she is multi-faceted and by far the most complex character on the show (that no one else seems to be watching ). other characters are interesting and for different reasons....some are comic relief, others troubled or heart-broken, but this person stands above the rest.

...she is multi-faceted and by far the most complex character on the show (that no one else seems to be watching )... I'm trying, I'm TRYING. I just can't get into this thing. I am not finding anything interesting or lovable (well, okay the kids are ADORABLE totally ADORABLE) or surprising. But I'll keep trying. LOL. Bo

Bo, I'm the same way about 'Good-bye Solo', but I find this show quite engaging. Different strokes, I guess.
And no "What you talkin' about Willis?" jokes, please.
