Just a reminder to those watching SS, the final 2 episodes of the drama air this weekend (July 14-15). I'm sure if you've been keeping up with the drama this long you'll want to see the final episodes.

Gee, I'm actually kind of confused; I was under the impression that there were 18 episodes, so if that's the case, they showed the final episodes Friday and Saturday (and now that the World Cup is over the repeats were shown in their entirety yesterday and today). To muddy the waters even more, I had become used to the final episode being labeled as such at the beginning of the show, and a nice little, "Thank you for watching." at the end of the final episode, but KBS seems to have dropped this practice on the last couple of dramas. I really enjoyed the series, but I thought the ending was lacking in final resolution (if, in fact, that was the final episode); Hyewon never seemed happy to be marrying Jungjae, for that matter, she couldn't even look him in the eye. As for the final phone call from Eunhye's mom, well that seemed to leave the door open for Minwoo to make one more valiant effort to win Hyewon back and live in the house with the glass ceiling that he designed. All signs seemed to be heading toward the fact that she hadn't changed nearly as much as she thought after the transplant. Furthermore, what ever happened to Daepoong and Rose? As far as Jungah, I thought she was a conniving, manipulative shrew who knew from the beginning that Minwoo didn't think of her romantically, yet she consistently pushed the issue and forced her presence (even breaking and entering, although did he give her a key at some point?, into Minwoo's house). I am relieved to find that my worst fears of Hyewon dying of heart failure were never realized, and I suppose that all in all, Minwoo was wrong for trying to steal a betrothed woman, but still..... she did seem to "come to life" after her initial meeting and subsequent relationship with Minwoo. I think if Minwoo had had just a bit more time to convince her that he loved her for her and not for being the reincarnation of Eunhye, they would have been infinitely happier than she appears to be fated in a life with Jungjae; but I am a hopeless romantic and knowing that the realities of romance are that it eventually ends to be replaced by the mundane are paradigms I have never been able to reconcile.
