Is this drama airing in Chicago or planning to show it? I've never seen anything like this before. This is no doubt the best Kdrama I've seen so far. This drama tells us that money don't make one happy .. happiness within you makes others happy. [edited to remove spoiler. A summary of a series we haven't watched yet is a spoiler. --Lucy] Here's some pics

This is the first I've heard of this show; where are you seeing it? We will have an open slot for a show in about a week and half when "Knocked Out by Love" ends and I haven't heard what we'll be seeing next. By the way, might I recommend Peter Seller's final movie, "Being There", as having a similar theme and it is a very enjoyable movie.

I've seen this on KBS vod site conpia.com .. It cost around 10 US dollar a month and you can see any kbs drama + entertainment prog. I'm the lucky one to able to understand Korean. Yes I have seen that movie but this drama is more of Awakenings(Robert de niro movie) mixed with The Lawnmower Man + Rainman + Korean melodrama special effects. Edit: or you can see this drama for free on www.kbs.co.kr/drama/hellogod/vod/review/index.html - registration required

Did anybody with clearer reception than I have happen to notice the scheduled times for the repeats??? It looked as if they said 9:00am but hopefully that was a typo....

Usually the show that is on Fri/Sat night (7:45pm-9:00pm) is replayed on Monday & Tuesday at 9:30am ...
But I wouldn't put money on anything they do these days...
I'm thinking of buying stock in a video tape company...

Introduction to “Hello, God!”
Seo Eun-hye (age 27) is a most attractive young woman. She’s also a liar, a thief, and a con artist. She sets off to the small community of Sky Village in hopes of getting her share of a recent scam.
Han Kang-su (about age 40) is her accomplice in crime. He unexpectedly double-crosses Eun-hye, leaving penniless and hunted by the police. Kang-su’s son, apparently, lives in Sky Village, which is why Eun-hye is headed there to look for him.
***
Park Dong-jae, (age 34) is an arrogant - though apparently brilliant - young surgeon. He has no qualms about playing God with his patients, as he is absolutely convinced of his infallibility.
Director Heo (about age 50) heads up a hospital in Sky Village, where Dr. Park now works. Sharing Dr Park’s arrogance and ambition, she feels that Park is just the man to bring international recognition to her hospital - and, perhaps, considerable wealth to herself, too.
***
Yeom Jun-sung (age 60) is the kindly principal of “Jungmoon School,” a place in Sky Village where mentally handicapped children are cared for and educated.
Living with him are:
Day (age 27, KoreanWiz identifies him as Haru). He’s limited mentally, but he’s perpetually happy and smiling, and he tries hard at everything he does.
Pad-lock (about age 40). He rarely speaks, but he helps out with simple tasks around Principal Yeom’s house. He also appears to be mentally handicapped - and he’s been sent to prison no less than five times.
Jang Pil-goo (about age 40) also helps out around Principal Yeom’s house. Unlike Pad-lock, Pil-goo speaks freely, and he’s obviously very intelligent. But, he seems to have a few dark secrets following him, and he also seems to know Dr. Park. But how could that be?
Soo-jung (age 10) is Principal Yeom’s young daughter. Smart and outspoken, she seems very perceptive, and she senses right away whenever something doesn’t seem right.
***
“Hello, God!” is way-different from your usual KBS drama, and I’ve got mixed feelings about it so far. It’s fast moving and well-acted, but it’s also just a bit on the creepy side (the series title, incidentally, seems to refer to the arrogance of doctors who “play God,” as there are occasional references to such as the dialog moves on). But, there’s no shortage of action here, and I think this show is absolutely, positively worth giving a try.

mikey: that's good info ... but it need small corrections. Soo-jung is granddaughter to principal yeom .. Yeom is in middle of 60 something. Jang pil-goo is in same age as Dr. Heo which is beginning of 50 something. Haru's father Han kang-su can't be 40 something ... he looks much older and theres no info on him that I can find.
About Soo-jung She's aware of Jang pil-goo is resposible for death of her father but pretends she doesn't know.

Yes, you’re right about the young girl being the granddaughter. I messed up on that one.
As for the character’s ages . . . well, except for a few that I knew for certain, I just took wild guesses. I’m sure I got a few of them WAY wrong.
The part about the Soo-jung’s father having been killed? Well, I’m up to episode #4, and I guess I haven’t gotten to that part yet! (moderators, do you want to edit that part out)?

It's not a spoiler as either I missed the scene or don't remember it (has nothing to do with main charaters) or never happened in the drama .. I read this on KBS site.

Okay, Cy said that Haru/Day was a retard. And then mikey has him listed as mentally limited. Which is he? Is he just slow in learning or what??? It sounds like a good show. I've never seen the actors, so this should be nice for me.

Okay, Cy said that Haru/Day was a retard. And then mikey has him listed as mentally limited. Which is he? (ahem . . .) Well, I think his IQ is supposed to be something like 65, but I used "mentally limited" in an attempt to be nonoffensive and polite.
