Stacey, thanks for the site links. Sushimi, yes i love also Joy Luck Club, that movie makes me cry every time! I usually buy VODs in Chinatown, they are much cheaper.
I was born in Seoul but not raised there so I need to learn the language! I noticed the names of people vary depending on who is addressing them.

Now, I started to buy via internet...... If you like cry (I'm kidding!) if you like movies with emotions, I hope that you'll watch "The Lovers" "A pinwheel without wind" and many others movies... These stories are beautiful!!!!

Thanks for the recommendations...I will have to check some of them out!
I saw a Korean movie recently that just released here in the US (I cannot remember the name) but it was about two brothers who both get into simultaneous accidents and it seems the soul of the main character's husband has taken over the body of his brother who survives...she ends up believing/accepting that her husband is in the body of the brother but there is a twist at the end....it was sad in a kdrama kind of way.

sushimi, what happened to the rest of your ice cream quote? I looked forward to reading that every day. I too am a Joy Luck Club fan. It's a movie I can watch over and over again along with The Lover, Jane Marche's autobiography.
I am coming to Chicago in May, what is the Korean Channel to watch there (cable or non-cable)? Don't want to fall behind in any of my shows :-)

Stacey, are you the same Stacey that the guest??? Before I decided to cut I thought it was long to read.... But for you I put it now.... forever.... You saw "Joy Luck Club"! It's great! "The Lovers" that I'm talking is not about Jane March's autobiography, but from Tsui Hark, a chinese movie... a chinese legend that I recommend if you can have one time the chance to watch it.... About the channel I don't know because I'm from France.... see you soon my sister....

Hope you can get it at the place you're staying. It has a strange broadcast pattern since it changed from the old Channel 28.
