Did anyone notice that the towns people have the same accent as the girl from Knocked Out by Love? (The girl that was burned saving BI). I wonder in what part of the country this is taking place.

Nope, I can't distinguish accents in Korean. But that's interesting.

I'm pretty sure that it's a Korean Country accent. Like from places like Busan and Chuncheon and such. As you can notice, that Politician's son, who was educated in Seoul, has a different accent than the rest of the people there.

In 'Sweetheart', there was a scene where screech mother got all riled up, and her sister said "Oh, she's so upset, she's speaking with a country accent." Golf Dad in MPC had the accent too.
Sometimes accents get a stereotype of being comical, even if they aren't, really. In my high school biology class, there was a girl who had just moved to the Chicago area from New York City, and had a very pronounced New York accent. The whole class laughed at her accent when she introduced herself, but she ended up being one of the more popular students in the school.

Thank you eyego. I thought I was the only one that noticed the similarity between the way these people talk and the girl from Knocked Out. It sounds natural and they all seem to talk the same way with a couple of exceptions so it must be a regional thing.

That girl from KO'ed is very talented actress ... She actually speaks seoul dialect in real life. She was quite convincing as a country girl with sa turi.
Quite comparible with Sally field in Forrest Gump where she spoke with alabama accent.

Also, someone by the id of topi on the honolulu board speculated that the accent can be derived to its roots from the Kyongsang Province.
