As I was watching Friday's ep. I thought I recognized the tune that was playing as Jongnam and Sukhyun were having lunch at the amusement park. Well, I'm pleased to announce that the old Captain has figured it out: the name of the song is "Sweet Dream" and although not performed by her in this example, Jang Na Ra (Lee Sena, Princess Pink) included a version on a greatest hits package I received last week. One more thing, I'm writing because the morning repeat of "War of the Roses" is a bit late and they showed the repeat of a travelogue concerning fishermen on New Year's Eve. During the show, they played a snippet of one of the world's greatest unknown guitarists, and an absolutely beautiful human. He occassionally plays a church in Des Plaines, but he's world reknown; I highly recommend you check him out if you get a chance (his records are not sold in stores.) 6stringheaven

Yes, cyuser, I am becoming a fan of K-pop. I bought a couple of her discs (and a concert DVD) along with Park Ki Young's catalogue because of their involvement in Wedding/Wedded Bliss. I wanted the OST, but it hasn't been made, but Ms Park did a couple of songs on for the show as well as appearing as the cabaret singer. Oddly, her albums don't sound much like those songs from the show, but I like her voice very much; she has a much stronger voice than Jang Na Ra, but Na Ra is cute as gumdrop and some of the songs are really well crafted pop (although some of it is really too syrupy for my tastes. Yeah, I'm up for recommendations but I believe I have narrowed my focus of interest to R&B. My latest interest is Lim (Yim) Jeong Hee, but I'd be eager to find out more artists worth giving a listen. Yeah, I guess you could say this hallyu thing has become quite a pervasive force in my life. Perhaps you might be able to explain why there is so much American music played in these shows? Is American music played that much in South Korea, or is this done to increase the attraction of the foreign viewers?

If you like K-pop, OSTs, and other K-drama stuff you should goto Soompi/forums. You have to register to get to the K-stuff, but when you do you'll be on K-overload for a week.... Right now I'm listening to the music from "Wedding" and 3 of the songs are by Park Ki Young, not bad ...not good... but not bad...

Thanks for the link, actually I was checking out a site similar to that a while ago and realized I'm about 3X the age of the average participant of the forum; it seems a bit inappropriate for me to join that community. About that soundtrack though, aside from the theme song (which I can't find any more information about that artist, Jin Hwan) I love this song: ddeonaji malayo - Hwang Shi Eon (apparently she doesn't have an album yet), and this one by Ms. Park: deuleo ohseyo. Yeah, it's all derivative, but if you're going to steal musical ideas, steal from good sources; this stuff reminds me of old Burt Bacharach and The 5th Dimension songs.
