Lest we forget that Haein didn't pull this whole idea of infidelity out of thin air, those two were seen by an eyewitness coming out of a hotel elevator and discussing their predicament and the ensuing deception (Mom doesn't know I was here with you all night). She may have had suspicion about Jongnam, but she didn't have a problem until right now. Hey, don't get me wrong, I totally want to see Jongnam and Sukhyun end up with each other. My only question is that since the show has been extended, did the writers put things back to their original configuration as the show continues or do they just develop the relationships further? But I'm fine with waiting it out.

That Haein is turning evil I tell ya! I mean I understand that she's hurt, but it's just like her to be secretive about it and be evil on the sly instead of just coming out and confronting Sukhyun about it.
Also, I see a trace of arrogance in her words. Like when she was typing in her diary, asking herself, what's so great about Jongnam that she's the preferred one. Well my question to Haein is, what so great about you that you think somebody can't have a change of heart. She's never really opened up to Sukhyun or tried to figure out what's in his head. Like when he was all depressed about his "friend" all she said was we should have dinner and then I hope he leaves to the U.S. so you can stop being so worried about his problems. I would have pried, knowing that something else was going on to make him so miserable, even if that meant taking myself out of my comfort zone.
I think she's more hurt that she's losing out to someone she considers her inferior than actually losing Sukhyun himself. Seeing this side of her makes me wonder why she deserves someone like Kiwoong's undying love.

I THINK THEY ARE ALL GOOD ACTORS. HAE-IN SHOULD GET TOGETHER WITH KIWOONG INSTEAD OF SUKYUN. I THINK THAT SUKYUN AND KIWONG ARE BLOOD BROTHERS. I'M NOT SURE HOW JONGNAN FITS IN WITH THESE TWO. MAYBE SHE IS (BLOOD) RELATED - SINCE SHE WAS AN ORPHAN HERSELF. I'M NOT SURE IF MAYBE SUKYUN MOM COULD BE JONGNAN MOTHER. IT WILL BE VERY INTERESTING TO SEE THE OUTCOME. I LIKE TO WATCH THESE MOVIES BECAUSE THERE IS NO SWEARING, FIGHTING, BED SCENES. I LIKE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS AND THEIR ACTING IS GREAT. TO BAD REAL LIFE COULDN'T BE LIKE THEM IN KOREAN. LAST NIGHTS WAS GOOD THE TRUTH IS COMING OUT. ;D

What is Haein doing? In last night's episode--70, I think--we saw Sukhyun's flashback of Haein saying, "Just wait; soon you'll have what you want." Is it possible that Haein thinks she is doing a GOOD thing by setting up Jongnam with that brooch? Because, news flash, getting your love rival into deep trouble with the mother-in-law is not the ONLY way of breaking up with your boyfriend.

Is it possible that Haein thinks she is doing a GOOD thing by setting up Jongnam with that brooch? Nara knows she gave it to Hae-in, Suk-hyun was there when it was given to Hae-in...Did I miss something or is Hae-in going to tell Nara that Jong-nam stole it??? Ki-woong knows that Hae-in gave it to Jong-nam, So does his aunt... What I'm tring to figure out is what does Hae-in have to gain by having Jong-nam wear it on TV???

I had exactly the same thoughts you did, Ducky. And that's just ducky! The only thing I can think of is that it will make Nara mad at both of them, so Haein won't have to marry Sukhyun and Jongnam won't get to, either. (I assume Haein doesn't want to marry a man who is in love with someone else.)

You assume this correctly, Lucy. What I thought was that HI gave the broach to JN to say that it belongs to the coming daughter-in-law of the family. The one that SH loves and would want to be with. After all, that is why NR gave the broach to HI, because she thought that HI will become her daughter-in-law; but seeing the way things are moving along, it seems hard for the two of them to get back together. That level of trust that's required in a relationship seems to have diminished. For a second, it seemed that HI was about to tell JN to leave the broach, but mentally, she probably gave herself the "don't waver haein," speech and that must've done the trick... What a vindictive person... KW fell so madly in love with that??

Is it possible that Hae-in doesn't know what a angry snob Nara is? To see her in the best light, .....well, there really isn't any excuse for her to give away a family heirloom from somebody else's family. It's a really messy way to break up. At worst, she's framing Jong-nam for theft, then she looks like Miss Innocence. There's no way she looks good if she admits she gave away the brooch. The way she talked to Ki-woong, saying she was evil, I'm almost afraid to watch tonight.

I don't think it's theft, it's got to be much deeper and more symbolic than just theft. HI is trying to assert that JN will be the daughter-in-law. In other words, she's indirectly telling NR: "Wow, nice broach and all, but you're giving it to the wrong girl! You're son's not in love with me, JN is the one he wants to be with. I'm sorry, om-un-i, but I can't marry a man who is not in love with me... That's why I'm giving the broach to it's rightful owner." But, I'll agree on one thing, HI is so much like her father. Get in her way, and all H-E-double hockey sticks breaks loose!

Even when Nara found out Hae-in gave the brooch to Jong-nam, I thought she was still going to hit her just for the hell of it...

It's a good thing Ki-woong was there, because it didn't look like Jong-nam was going to explain anything. Good thing Nara didn't have to make up her own conclusion-she really would have smacked JN.
What do you want to bet that HI 's mother will whine, "and I didn't even see it...."

There seemed to be a touch of sorrow in HI's expression when Cider was describing the scene, and thought Nara was about to hit JN. Nara's greed and ride for her son could make Nara to be a worse MIL than InYoung had in "My sweatheart".

I think the majority of us here agree that we appreciate the relative wholesomeness of these shows, compared to American ones. It will indeed be interesting to see if they establish more abput Jong-nam's past. She's been through so much, I would love to see her come out on top. By the way, please do not post in ALL CAPITALS. It makes them difficult to read. Once again, Welcome aboard.

Yeah, JN was stalling quite a bit, mainly because I think she was worried another confrontation was afoot, along with another slap. KW saved the day though, I wonder if this will make him look at HI in a different light or whether he will view her as the victim. HI's actions were rash and manipulative, but they're understandable. aj, I too noticed that sincere, apologetic expression on HI's face. She doesn't necessarily REGRET what she's done, but I think she feels bad for having been provoked to such extremes.

True, ducky. Up till now, we've only seen HI as a nice girl who doesn't make trouble for anybody, but just because of a few misunderstandings, she's going to end her relationship in such a cowardly fashion. It IS irresponsible behavior. I'm sure come Monday's episode we'll see NARA confronting HI about her actions and asking for the reason why, and HI will no doubt blame it on SH and his wavering heart. That's the spiel she gave SH himself.
