About this lie he's told and can't seem to get out of--how is it that in the conversations Sukhyun has had with his grandmother and relatives, Haein's name never came up? I was imagining the phone conversation when SH told his grandmother that they couldn't make it after all because HI had indigestion. I can't think of any natural way in which he would not have said her name, because, after all, he doesn't know there's any reason he should be keeping her name secret.
And wow, could Ki-woong's family idolize Haein any more than they do? "You know what I do? I think about Haein." "Sukhyun's girlfriend couldn't be any better than Haein." "Haein is so pretty and has such nice manners." "Everything else is wrong in the world, but Haein exists and so I have a reason to live." (OK, I made up that last one.)

Lucy, I was thinking the same thing as I was watching. What did he say to his grandmother, "my girlfriend has indigestion and I have to take her home, or maybe he should have said, "the girl you think is engaged to KW has indigestion and I have to take her home". The only way to have said it is, "Haein does not feel well and I need to take her home". But then it is a drama and that wouldn't have worked. It seems, according to the previews, that Minsook will find out soon about Haein and Sukhyun.

Maybe it's all part of the culture of not calling people by name, but by their relationship to you, like "Jeb's Mother" instead of "Barbara" There was a scene we didn't see, after Min-sook tells Ki-woong that Suk-hyun and his girlfriend are coming to visit: Suk-hyun and Hae-in arrive at Ki-woong's house. Min-sook sees them, and is shocked. She then flies into a rage, screaming at Hae-in. Then her voice is heard saying "Hey, ki-woong", in a normal tone of voice. We then see that Ki-woong has been imagining what the scene would be like, and decides to leave the house before they get there.

What a coward, though, huh? Tch. Leaving his family to deal with that situation on their own. It almost would have made it worse. Can't say I blame him, though! I would have gone farther, like to France or something!

I like how Min-sook thought that Hae-in was over at Sukhyun's for work-related matters. She won't even let the girl explain herself? And can Minsook not get her social cues or what? She just ignored the uncomfortable look written quite clearly on Hae-in's face. ( )

Suk-hyun seemed petty to me, with Ki-woong's sushi proposal. If he had reason to turn it down, okay, but it was rude to drop the papers and not apologize or pick them up. He doesn't even know he should be jealous, does he? I guess he really looks down on his cousin. Brat.
Speaking of jealousy, Hae-in is jealous of how close Jong-nam is to Ki-woong. Good. Altho he's too good for Hae-in.

I found that whole sentiment of Haein being the best thing since sliced bread based on her merely dropping Kiwoong off after work one day to be a little annoying. But I guess it explains why Ki-Woong refrained from telling the truth of his relationship with Haein. I personally would have ripped that band-aid off quickly:
(Teresa as Kiwoong): *clears throat* "Eh hem, Mom, Grandmom, I have something to tell you." (Mom & Grandmom): *eyes a-twinkle* "Yes, yes! Is it about Haein? What is she wearing tomorrow? I'll bet it's perfect! You can tell by the way she brushes her teeth that she will be an excellent daughter-in-law..." (T as K): *trace of annoyance crosses face* "...hold the cab Mom and Grandmom!! We're not going to that town." (M & G): *quizzical look* "Morea? (what?)" (T as K): "By that I mean Marriage Town. Yes, I like her a lot and I want us to be more, but she sees me as a good friend only." (M & G): *weeping* (T as K): "Uh, by the way, I'm getting a ride home from work tomorrow by the cameraman. I would appreciate that you do not leap to the conclusion that we have struck up a relationship."

Hey Teresa, I've noticed that you have quite the knack for supplying hilarious alternative dialogue and scenarios, are you a writer? You could have a future in this trade.

Thank you, Captain, and all! I'm an art director chiefly, but I do some copywriting. My clients usually beat the joy and spunk out of most pieces... so I this is my cathartic. Thank you for allowing me to indulge!!
