Hello everyone. I'm in Michigan and recently started watching the series. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way that I could get caught up. I'm pretty lost with some things. I figured that any info posted here could help others like me.
Is there a way to view old episodes? Are there any english fansites? Any help would be great. Thank you.

Where in Michigan are you watching? Is it a mostly Korean channel, or is it a public TV channel, like in Philadelphia? If you go the the 'General' board here, there is a thread of links to various stations, boards, and other relevent sites. The best ones to check out are this one (of course!), the Southern California board (careful -- they're way ahead of the rest of the country), Philadelphia board, and the Hawaiian board. The problem getting up to speed by reading the boards is folks don't describe what they saw; they react to it. So you get threads like, "Oh, I can't believe what Nara did!", with responses like "Yes, she had no business doing that!", and you're left scratching your head, asking "Yeah, but what did she do?" But if you keep with it, you'll eventually get some background. You can view old episodes if you register on KBS's site, which I find loads of fun, but it's all in Korean (but it is free). Don't hesitate to ask questions about what happened in past shows. Folks on all the boards are usually more than happy to fill things in.

Sandy - Union City's up by New York City, right? You are about a week and a half futher along in the show than we are here in Chicago, so we havent seen what you were talking about. I know that those who have seen it were sure struck by it, such as those on the So. Cal. board. Welcome aboard! I think this drama is one of the best so far. Just remember that we are pretty far back, so take that into consideration when you post.

Hi Sandy! Amazing, isn’t it, that grand-and-glorious NEW YORK CITY, of all places, doesn’t have its own K-drama discussion board? Go figure! Of course you’re quite welcome here but it’s since our Chicago friends are way behind everybody else, let’s be careful not to spoil things for them. Soju put together a list of where everybody is on an older thread (in relation to the episode currently showing in Korea) so I cut-and-pasted it here for your reference: Chicago is 62 eps back Hawaii is 60 eps back Philadelphia is 58 eps back TAN-TV is 50 eps back New York (1) is 49 eps back Washington is 45 eps back New York (2) is 41 eps back Los Angeles is 39 eps back Oh yes: I’m watching on TAN-TV, so I’m right up there with you!

thanks for the welcoming, yes, actually Union City is right across the river from NYC, I actually work in NYC, i know, i don't understand how the New York City area doens't have its own discussion board specially cuz i would like to comment on the stuff i watch the night before, so all i'm going to say for now is that I watched episode 56 last night and I can't wait to see what happens tonight. But i have a general question, I'm a latina and our latina "novelas" or better know in english "soap operas", how come i see no kissing going on here, can any one help, i know that in their culture they are very discrete but c'mon a little peck won't hurt anyone...

Despite the warning that you should be over 15 years old to watch The Bizarre Bunch, I don't expect to see kissing. (Maybe if a couple just agrees to get engaged? But we sort of saw Suk-hyun and Hae-in agree to be a couple, and there was no kissing. It was very low key.) There certainly isn't any heated smooching in Korean dramas. Ki-woong's family is unusual in Korean drama, we've noticed, in that they hug each other frequently. On Farewell to Tears, there's hugging, too, usually by Jung-woo.

Yes, I was surprised by the hugging and . . . did I see a kiss from a parent to a child in the Ki-woong family? They are unusually demonstrative. I remember in another drama someone came back from America and was hugging people, which made some of the people uncomfortable. (I think it was "Who's My Love?".)

Of the three largest TV networks in Korea, KBS is considered the most conservative.
I read that in India (which has the largest movie industry in the world) it was against the law to depict kissing on-screen.

They also banned depicting "smoking" on the big screen. And an actor, Amitab Bachchan was sued for doing so. Indian cinemas are becoming incredibly westernized though. It's nice to see a couple occasionally hug or something instead of simply bursting out into song where an intimate moment would be suitable.

There were comments about Wedded Bliss/The Wedding after we saw the hugging in the Sena's family, because affection isn't usually shown physically. The hugger in Who's My Love was younger grandpa's wife, I had forgotten her return.

Sandy...I am from NY about 40 mins. North of NYC...and from what I am reading, you and I seem to be the only ones from the East Coast (I apologize if there are more and my assumption is wrong...and for my spelling) do you catch Farwell to Tears on the weekend? it's on for an hour..right? Also, have you noticed that sometimes TBB starts earlier then 9:30 on somedays?

HI Soonjin1975, I guess we might be the only ones watching on the east coast!!!LOL, nah there's gotta be more TBB addicts out there, but now I haven't gotten a chance to catch Farewell to Tears, see i had made myself a promise that i will never (never say never) watch another "novela" ever again, and look at what happened to me I'm totally hooked to TBB, I can't wait to see tonight's episode, i wish it was on for a whole hour...but i guess it would probably never be enough, after years of watching the same "story" on latin novelas i got very tired and did watch anything like that for years, then i came across TBB and it was so refreshing, never mind the fact that I find the culture to be so interesting, i love the respect they have for their elders etc...i would love to speak the language too, but i guess i might be pushing it now, although my husband and i try to practice repeating certain words, we must sound so funny. Anyway, i wish TBB becomes available to purchase on DVD, I would love to add it to my collection of "must haves", wouldn't you?
