You and me ginnycat, we'll set him straight won't we? Him and hae-in... she's starting to irritate me.

OOOOhh, the "Hae-in irratation" is setting in. It's pretty rampant over on the California board. After tonight or tomorrow night, we'll probably start seeing more of it here . . .

She's real smug, though she doesn't look the part. She's subtly evil and her character in Windflower was rather rivetingly evil.

What was up with Jong-nam trying to scare Aunt with that wig? LOL...Jong-nam is so funny! But it ended up being Suk-hyun that she scared. Hahaha...wonder if he peed in his pants again?! I was kinda creeped out by that wig thing too....was she trying to do a "The Grudge"/''Ju-on" or "The Ring" thing?

LO, lovely. he probably did. I don't know, I don't think she really thinks before she does anything. which is what makes her so loveable. she just goes with her own flow.

I've not seen those movies, but I think the traditional Korean depiction of a witch (or some kind of malevolent spirtit) is a woman with long hair covering her face. In WML, Hannah did the same thing, except using her own hair.

The poor girl meant well, but she shouldn't have changed the answering machine's recorded message. That was the last memory Jae-ok had of her son, and it isn't fair to her to have that part of her memory erased. I would've been that upset if i was jae-ok too. Jongnam treats Jae-ok as her mom and sometimes oversteps boundaries.

That's right, Soju, I forgot that Hana did that, too. It was really funny how much she frightened Sangsik.

He locked her in the studio and told the guard to turn off the lights, she fell and hit her head. He had intended to come back in an hour, but had to go to a meeting and forgot. When he remembered, he rushed back, took her to the hospital, and scolded the doctor for his seeming unconcern that she wasn't waking up. The doctor said she was dehydrated, i think, and just had a twisted ankle. He hit a dog with his car while rushing to her, so took the dog to a vet. Then picked it up while taking her back to her bike. He asked what should I name the dog, she said You're Mr. Pee, so she should be Miss Poo. He got mad. (They don't have lost dog ads there? Or does he just feel entitled?) Did you see the drunk fall on his car and break off the side mirror? He blamed her, but how would she know where he lives? She doesn't even know his name. There has to be lots more, but I'm blanking. Ginnycat, sorry for this being so late, but thanks for the summary!

Wait! Why where some of you irritated by Haein? I have the feeling that Jongnam is some kind of orphan, have they ever said what the deal is with her parents?

I'm irritated by Haein, too. So far, she's such a typical K-drama "good girl": pallid, passive, smiles inappropriately at nonfunny things like her mother's horrible marriage.
Yes, I believe we've been told Jongnam's parents are dead, though I'm not 100% positive. She doesn't seem to want anyone to know she's on her own.

Is it a spoiler to talk about what's shown in the previews? * * * * * * Jong-nam's friend, who kicked her out, tells Aunt: She lied about everything. I'm taking that to mean her parents, too. That could mean they aren't in the US, they are dead? Or they are in Korea but she ran away? Or they kicked her out? She is so outspoken and bold, it's like she raised herself, without much guidance from caring adults.

Possible spoiler: Well for those of you who like to watch the previews of the next day's episode, I think Aunt said that she would be Jongnam's mother because Jongnam tries to say something about how she'll show the world that she can survive without parents. Which is really sweet. But if Jongnam really does legally become the daughter of Jaeok, then will that crush any romance we might be expecting from Sukhyun and Jongnam?

I don't think she meant it in a legally binding way. Besides, isn't she too old to be adopted? I think she just meant it in the sense that she will look after her and care for her like a real mom would.
This also explains why she's so rough around the edges, like why some people thought she was rude, it's just that she didn't know any better because nobody taught her.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, GC... Jong-nam and Sukhyun are both arrogant people. And partially because they've either been pampered to much, and because they had no one to rely on, so they depend on themselves.
